We enjoyed delicious meals and had a wonderful experience with most of the staff, although one waitress was an exception. It's unfortunate how one person's attitude can affect the overall experience. Fortunately, the evening ended on a high note thanks to an outstanding male staff member who went above and beyond to help us secure a cab back to our motel. A huge thank you to him! What Anonym dislikes about Echuca Hotel:
Lovely friendly staff but awful food. There was a mix up with our meals so that only one meal was cooked. The manager was quick to come and apologise and offer my husband another beer on the house. Really nice. My lambs fry and bacon was drowned in gravy... Hard to tell what was what. My lambs fry was red and mushy. Just revolting. I guess if you need somewhere basic to stay this would be okay It's just another very generic, soulless apartment hotel.
I'm not sure how they continue to get it right, but somehow they just do. We had dinner for a 60th birthday and we were among 5 other groups celebrating birthdays. Still our food was delicious and served in a very timely manner. The recipe for success at the Echuca Hotel is flawless and the ingredients should stay the same.
We had been here before and this time took friends for the $10.00 lunch - which last time was good. However, this time did not supply a menu of choices - they seemed far too interested in getting ready for "The Blues Festival' rather than looking after the locals. The meal was very average. Don't think we will recommend the Echuca Hotel again.
Went there for my sons birthday tea huge dissapointment not only was the steak he ordered too rare but when he sent it back same one was returned then overcooked ! chef came out to discuss how steak should be done sure got it wrong , anyway refund offered but not the point one meal out of five was ok! apparently ovens were not working on this night ,not that you needed one for our meals.
Called into the Echuca Hotel for brekkie but ended staying for lunch. Amazing service great food,all ended up having coffee,very lovely place
