Good great, staff great. One star for corporate environmental policy. Dined in and everything is served in disposable containers and cups. Non recyclable due to food contamination. I have eaten here in the past and food was served on plates and coffee in cups. They must produce hundreds of kilograms of this waste a week.
Always a great place to visit when in sunny Echuca. Friendly helpful staff, a great variety of tasty bakery treats and strong coffee on offer to enjoy whilst sitting on the outdoor deck overlooking the Campaspe River.
Not the same experience as the real one in Beechworth. Food is tasty and the coffee acceptable. Although, the wait for the coffee borders on the best of patient of us out there. Go somewhere where the name isn't burdened by the pressure of the franchise. Or drive the extra hundreds of km to Beechworth and enjoy the real thing.
We wanted to order an sandwich with a $6.90 sticker on it the guys on the register wanted to charge us over $9 for it (which we suspect was the price for a roll, not a sandwich) l. When we queried this the guy simply said the labelled price was wrong. We aren’t up for getting ripped off so we left and went to the moama bakery instead and enjoyed a much better experience there. Won’t be back..
Beecworth Bakery has become outdated with its offering, is overrated and no longer a place to rave about. Not many toasties on offer for breakfast to begin with, mine arrived slightly burnt on one side and barely toasted on the other. It was also very dry. My partner ordered a meat pie that flavourless, with Herbert Adams from the supermarket rating higher in flavour. Next time I wont bother with this bakery and will choose the best local cafe/bakery instead. The franchise owner of Beechworth Bakery needs to review its products across all stores to ensure they are consistent, good quality and the offering updated and changed.
