Great service. Great food. Was on a kid free date with my husband and we were surrounded by noisy children, which usually I wouldn’t mind but the tables seem too close together that we felt like we couldn’t have a private conversation without the next table hearing it all (because we could hear them). Otherwise highly recommend. View all feedback.
What Mark S dislikes about American Hotel:
Our booking was cancelled at the last minute without notice. Turned up to find the place closed. In a town and at a time when it would be difficult to find an alternative place for dinner, this was not appreciated, especially with no explanation or apology. Not likely to try again. I asked the staff at the bar if they could inquire about a recommendation from the kitchen. They mentioned that the only vegan option available was a salad. This choice should not be included on Happy Cow.
Music in the arvo decent food over priced for what it was atmosphere was great.
Sitting outside on a Beautiful sunny day, great selection of beers and generous servings of share plates . Very enjoyable afternoon
