Was Thaddeus Reinger at Rashers a mag?
This is such a great and simple way of offering different types of bacon.Walking by and smelling the bacon is a major draw. The menu is simple and for a Brit a real delight having a bacon butty. I had the bacon grilled cheese. It was very filling due to the amount of rashers and delicious.I didn't try their brown sauce as I don't like it or HP back home.I just wish we had this back in the UK as it would be so popular... What Леонид Тетерин dislikes about Rashers:
Love the bacon sandwiches, both the bacon burger and the amazing Brie, caramel iced onion, bacon heart attack on a bun. Some of the other sandwiches were on bread that was too hardtop make eating them fun, but mine (I had the Brie and bacon) was terrific. Atmosphere is cheap booths and fluorescent lighting, so get takeout and have it with a beer at home (no liquor license). Casual, satisfying but not fancy by any mea... View all feedback.
Just be warned, the delicious smell of bacon might follow you around all day. I tried the Brie and bacon dish and it was delicious.
Finally got to try out this place, and I am so glad I did! Def recommend takeout because a)it is a small place (four people max.
I initially walked right past this restaurant and only noticed it by accident on my way back. Inside, there are a couple of bar stools, but it is very hot. It may be nice in the winter, but it was uncomfortable with the temperature at +26oC outside. I would recommend getting take-out instead. I have to give credit to the staff for working in such heat. I ordered the "bacon butty", which comes with five rashers of British bacon between two slices of lightly toasted bread and a coating of brown sauce (not HP). I took my sandwich to a local park down the road to eat, and it was very tasty with the sauce not being too overpowering. This was the best bacon sandwich I have had since moving to Canada. I wish there was a similar place closer to home in Alberta, even though my waistline might disagree. For $9, it was very filling and I will definitely be back next time I'm in Toronto. However, I will remember to ask for it without butter on the bread next time.
Amazing!! The bacon rolls, bacon sandwiches, pea bacon (back bacon for us Brits), and streaky bacon are all cooked to perfection and served in a roll or bun with garlic mustard, chipotle sauce, ketchup, and brown sauce. Pair it with a serving of cut fries or curly fries for a delicious meal. There are no vegetarian options here, unless bacon has been reclassified as a vegetable! Definitely worth a visit when you're in Toronto.
