I started my meal with a glass of German Riesling from Bex, which was delightful and full of flavor. For dinner, I had the sour roast, served with potato pancakes, red cabbage, and a touch of apple sauce. It was absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to go back! I’ve been telling everyone about how wonderful Pine Grove Inn is. The owner was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pine Grove Inn:
We ordered a few appetizers, but they arrived at staggered times, so we ended up eating at different intervals. Once we finished our appetizers, I found myself having to clear the plates because nobody came to take them away. Although the waitress returned to take our drink orders, she left all the empty glasses on the table, forcing me to clear those away as well.
When the main courses arrived, they were also serv... View all feedback.
The food and chef should get 20 stars. The food was absolutely out of this world. Came in from NC, to visit my son, daughter in law and grandson and everything about this was amazing. Aside from my daughter in law we all love German food, and this was the absolute best German food we have ever had. Everything just melted in our mouths. The chef even spent time with us and asked us how to make a German dessert. We are definitely coming back December and can’t wait.
5 stars are not enough if possible I would give 10. The food was absolutely out of this world. I came in for the first time tonight with my in-laws, husband and our son. I am not a fan of German food, but my in laws and husband were enthralled with how amazing the food and presentation was. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese, I’ve had lobster mac&cheese elsewhere but this lobster was cooked to perfection, it’s like it melted in my mouth. Our son had the pork chops, he eats everything to begin with and devoured his pork chops; but for him to eat mashed potatoes, and string beans when he won’t them at home is proof enough this food is absolutely amazing. Not only that but the chef spent significant time with us and is so such a nice guy. He even exchanged numbers with my mother in law in order to learn how to make a German dessert. Though the wait was long, no fault of anyones at the restaurant it’s due to the nature of the pandemic and people not wanting to work. Again, no fault of the restaurant. We will have no problem waiting again for such amazing food again. We will most definitely be returning.
I made our reservation a week in advanced, and I the day before to confirm our reservation. When we arrived they told us that we didn’t have a reservation. I am a vegan and have never had a problem with any restaurant accommodating me. I was told at the Pine Grove Inn that they couldn’t accommodate me not even make me a salad. Need less to say we left and went somewhere else. This was our first and last visit there.
It was our first time trying this place and it was mediocre at best. It was too cold, in fact I ran into another patron who said she came prepared with long John’s on under her outfit because it is always super cold and the service is always slow. Our waitress was no where to be found when we wanted to leave. The food was not what I expected for the price. The decor is shabby and needs some updating. Not the romantic evening I was hoping for.
Worst service and food ever! It took over 20 minutes for someone to come to our table and it was not even crowded. Once I finally told them we got the food it wasn’t even that good and it was overpriced. Very disappointed!
