Mile 1 Hut - East Kootenay F

At the top of the Mile 1 Chairlift with a nice deck, great food and coffee, excellent spot for a break and refreshments

We did the Fondue one Friday night and it was very good. You start with a cheese fondue with dried bison, fruits and breads followed by a chocolate fondue with more fruit. They serve beers and wines as well and the views are great. You can ski in and out as the night skiing is on,or take the chairlift up and down which is great for non skiers or young/elderly to have the chance to experience the mountain Fondue.

Great view, excellent place to take easy and rest during skiing. Comfortable resting chairs, enough room to relax, while your gear dries up.

Good place to have a quick snack with a hot beverage. Tea was for $2.50. Limited number of chairs, but it was never crowded. You could also drink your tea outside at a picnic table. Outhouse type toilets only.

Really not that far from the base. Cozy little location with snacks and what not. Really nice views. FIre pit outside is a nice touch!
