Fantastic chip shop. So glad they do the 5pound lunch small fish and chips this really helps in these tough hard times. Food always cooked fresh. Lots of Staff and always polite. I recently purchased cod and chips because I didn't feel like cooking. It turned out to be the worst decision I've ever made. The cod was extremely dry, with no white flesh left. The batter was so hard that even my dog had trouble chewing it, and the chips were also dry and tough. I spent almost £10 and it was a complete waste. Beautiful chippee! I pulled a cold night on my bike and they kindly invited me to bring my bike so I could keep it safe and eat in the warm. the food was also excellent..big people, great chippy!

The best Fish and Chips in East Devon. Annie and Dave also serve chicken, saveloys, pies and fritters. Eat in or takeaway. Recommended

I suspect that everything had been sitting in the warmer for days. I highly recommend avoiding this place. They could definitely learn a thing or two from Bloaters in Sidmouth. This was the worst fish and chips I've ever had in 50 years. I will never be going back. Avoid at all costs.

I was recommended this restaurant and it definitely lived up to expectations. I ordered the Haddock and chips and had to wait a few minutes as it was freshly cooked. The batter was crispy, the fish was flaky, and the chips were some of the best I've had in a long time - perfectly cooked with a rich, oily flavor. The server even brought my meal outside to me when it was ready, while I was chatting with my friend. The service was top-notch and the meal was well-priced.

After spending over 20 years going here, it’s with a sad heart that I write this review, not sure if it’s new owners or the old ones that just don’t care anymore, I’ve always had good food, Unfortunately this year the food has been awful. We had a hard sausage, said about it, but they brushed it off. Went back again a couple of weeks later, had a large order, Fish cake was flat, sausage in batter had very little batter. Went again this evening and was told we should have brought it back! We live 20 minutes away. Sadly we won’t be going back again.

I always visit the Honiton Chippee (opposite the police station) Good fish and chips, very clean tidy, and organised. It's just a shame they pay more attention to their online orders i.e. paper bags on the counter, than they do in greeting walk in customers with eye contact and immediately care for the customer in front of them.
