What SimonWel likes about The Black Horse Inn:
We decided to visit this country pub for Sunday lunch after a day at nearby Anglesey Abbey. Despite it being mid-winter, the pub was not very busy at 2pm. Had Sunday lunch today best bit was cauliflower cheese. 2 very small over cooked slices of Pork. Roast potatoes had been left to keep warm. Skins so hardcould hardly cut them when you did potato inside had dried and was almost gone. Gravy was warm. Wouldn't recommend and will not go back. Worst Sunday lunch in pub We have ever had. No choice other than pork or beef no veggie option offered View all feedback.

read moreThe Black Horse pub has seen a recent change in management, with new owners Alice and Martin receiving praise for their warm welcome and homely atmosphere. While some diners have experienced disappointment with the food quality and service, others have raved about the excellent pints and hearty home-cooked meals. The pub is becoming a popular spot in the village, with promising signs of improvement and a friendly, community-focused environment. Despite some mixed reviews, the Black Horse seems to be on the right track to becoming a beloved local gem for both food and hospitality seekers alike.
