The only downside to this restaurant is its location in a somewhat awkward part of West London. Despite living on the other side of the city, I can't resist returning to The Golden Chip of Hanwell for their delicious fish and chips. Most other chip shops I visit use beef instead of the pork sausages that Hanwell offers. The crispy batter used at Hanwell brings back nostalgic memories of my childhood, unlike the cheaper, less crunchy batter used at other chip shops in London. The size and quality of the potatoes used at Hanwell sets them apart from the competition, despite their slightly higher prices. While I am not a huge fan of their southern fried chicken, the fish and chips truly steal the spotlight at this establishment.
