Absolutely the BEST French cuisine we have ever had and we have eaten in France quite a lot! The French onion soup, salmon and escargot were the best we have EVER had! View all feedback.
What Carla M dislikes about Bacquet's:
Had dinner at this restaurant last night. The Kobe beef in the Stroganoff dish was very tough and the sauce lacked flavor. The pasta on this dish was the best part of the plate. The pork on the Pork Gorgonzola Dolce was also tough and dry, sauce was good as well as the pasta. Not what I would have expected for entrees costing 35-45 dollars. Won’t be back or recommend. I stopped by today on a whim, and I'm so glad I did! The atmosphere is wonderful—the decor and music create the perfect setting for a pleasant meal in a relaxed environment. My meal was fantastic, and the dessert was to die for. I savored my meal, the service, and the ambiance for nearly two hours, taking my time to enjoy every moment. I will definitely be back for more! Next up, I’m trying the salmon!
Franck's new restaurant exceeded our expectations. The menu features intriguing twists on classic dishes, such as the Caprese tower ravioli with truffles, and the Coquilles Saint Jacques with saffron sauce was executed brilliantly! The live music on the terrace enhanced the atmosphere. It's wonderful to see Chef Bacquet back in action!
This is undoubtedly the best French cuisine we've ever experienced, and we've dined extensively in France! The French soufflé, salmon, and escargot were the finest we've ever tasted!
On Thursday evening we entered what felt like a pariser bistro and were welcomed by Chef/Owner franck bacquet himself as the live music for a warm and welcoming atmosphere. our waitress kim was very knowledgeable about the menu that changes daily, depending on what is fresh. she led us into the "Wein Library", where chef franck helped us to get the perfect bottle of wine to complement our selected dishes. we started with the seafood flat bread as our appetizer course and it was excellent. I had this lamb and my mother had the calf. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. we finished with a common chocolate mousse that was light as air and some espresso. it was a perfect meal and we're gonna be 4sure again.

Fantastic dinner with the owner recommending a wonderful Saint-Estephe pairing with my duck. Presentation was fantastic with the escargot being a table favorite. If you are looking for higher end French I would recommend this in a pinch. One small note, a lot of the dishes came under salted as the kitchen appears to be sensitive to people who get overwhelmed by a proper salt level? Just ask for salt, do not let it ruin your your dinner :
The food was absolutely delicious. I had read numerous reviews before visiting, and I was not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and decorations as well. I highly recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely return for another meal. Thank you! **Kid-friendliness:** My kids loved the complimentary bread (especially the butter served on a seashell—it amazed us all!). Several appetizers and entree options were kid-friendly, particularly for seafood lovers. The various interesting art pieces on the walls and overall decor entertained the kids (it turned into a fun game of "I spy"). The server and staff were friendly and acknowledged the kids, providing the necessary accommodations. Little things like the plastic water cups made a lasting impression. There was plenty of parking, including several handicap spaces.
Incredible first experience at Bacquet 's. We are expecting our second child this fall and wanted to have one of our last dinners out as a family of three somewhere nice. We were blown away, and it 's been a long time since either myself or my husband have felt that way about a restaurant delicious food, great service, and such a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. This is a classy place, but manages not to come off as stiff or pretentious. Another thing all staff were nothing but kind to my 2 year old daughter. She has had a lot of experience in public social situations, but is still a little kid, of course. Bacquet 's is not kid friendly in the sense of having a kids ' menu or providing crayons to your table, but if you want to expose a well behaved, adventurous eater to a nice dining experience, you will be welcomed. My parents are European and this is how I grew up! Thank you for being lovely and respectful to my whole family.

My husband and I were told about this place when we arrived in Boise, and we decided to give it a shot. We arrived and they were busy, but made time and space for us. They even had a plate of fruit, meat, and cheese for our baby waiting at the table for us. The staff treated us well, and were very engaging. The atmosphere was relaxing and fun, and the food was top tier excellent. After we finished eating, the owner talked with us a bit, and was very kind and outgoing. Our experience was wonderfu
We were met at the door by the chef's wife and co-owner. The restaurant in very colorful cute with original artwork by the chef. The service was excellent. The menu has many very good sounding choices that make it difficult to choose. I started off with their famous French onion soup. I thought it was very good but not great or the best I've ever had. I followed it up with the house specialty, an assortment of shell fish over pasta in a nice broth with garlic bread. I thought the broth
