What Fátima Patiño doesn't like about Corner Cafe Ristorante:
The pasta is too al dente for my taste, plus the price is too steep for just pasta. Thank goodness we just got a new Italian place in town, haven't tried it yet, but heard it was great. View all feedback.
My husband and daughter thought it was okay, I wasn't impressed at all. We ordered take out and pasta as the side dish to each of our orders, all covered in red sauce and not what I would consider authentic Italian. Should have went with the pizza I guess.
Have had dinner here many times..its a family run its always fresh . have never had a bad meal or salad.

Nice quiet restaurant, very cottage like! All food, sauces etc cooked when you order. Friendly family restaurant. Sandy and Italo run it themselves and food is delicious
TripAdvisor has invited me to review a resto. Corner Café is always on our list of Haliburton area diners. Mr and Mrs Corner Café serve very good Italian food. The atmosphere is a homey jumble of celebrity photos (i.e. customers such as yours truly, Steve Martin, spouse, and grandson), family bric a brac, testimonials from the pope et cetera. Mrs knows what a diner wants within moments of one's arrival, and will not hesitate to tell you if you order wrong. Maestro Italo is bossy too. When my grandson wanted (seafood) Brodetto linguine with an addition of chicken, Mr Chef emerged to explain that one never adds chicken to his Brodetto, and refused to sully his dish with poultry. This occasion lives on in family lore. Italo has a fine dining pedigree in Ontario and Italy and all the pasta we've had there has been delicious. The couple are delightful in their pleasant, bossy way, and we are happy to return yearly.
