La Trattoria - E Montreal

My wife and I had dinner Saturday night and were both very pleased. It was our second visit and like the first we did not leave disappointed. Service from the friendly greeting when we walked in through the meal and to departure from both the...host and the waitress were first class. We both opted for the risotto. I had the the table d 'hote with soup and dessert, one of the specials being seafood risotto. Lots of seafood shrimp, squid and mussels tasty and cooked to perfection. My wife had the mushroom version but could only finish half as the portions are very generous. We also had an appetizer of fried calamari which was literally a melt in your mouth treat. The canoli dessert was also delicious. The prices are very reasonable and certainly great value for the cost. The BYOB opportunity also keeps the cost down. We will return again in the near future with the whole family.

The food was mediocre and the prices were too high. The restaurant was empty.

I really enjoy your pizza dishes at this restaurant. I specifically come here for the pizza. I suggest adding a smoked meat pizza option instead of just pepperoni. It would also be great to have a spinach salad as an alternative to the typical romaine Caesar salad.

The food was excellent and delicious, as was the service. The only downside was the high noise level coming from the neighboring table.
