In short: A very nice Greek restaurant with fantastic food at the Würmersheim clubhouse. The price-performance ratio is excellent. The generous portions will transport you to a holiday. The less-than-traditional Greek ambiance is more than compensated for by the typical Greek hospitality and a complimentary ouzo. We'll definitely be back!
One star is too much! I ordered a gyros salad. There wasn 't even a handful of meat on my plate. My friend at the same table, also ordering a gyros salad, had at least twice as much. Of course, everyone else at the table saw this. I complained. I received a plate with extra gyros with the cynical comment, Here you are, Madame. When I went to pay, I had a 50-euro note in front of me. The waiter wordlessly snatched the note, deducted 20 euros, and slammed down 30 euros. Irritated, I asked how much my beer and salad cost. He said 19.40 and tried to explain that the amount of meat was correct and that he was exceptionally waiving the charge for the extra portion. However, the extra portion wasn 't an extra he was graciously waiving, but rather an addition to the regular portion. Therefore, I only wanted to pay the regular price. Because of this outrageous cheek, I demanded the remaining 60 cents, which he simply kept. For me, that store is dead…
The food is convenience food, so be aware of that before you go. Taste-wise, it's decent, but nothing extraordinary. What truly stands out, however, are the people there. I've rarely experienced such excellent service in a long time: very fast, extremely attentive, polite, and consistently friendly. Everything about the place—the ambiance, the service, the atmosphere—is absolutely top-notch. Despite the simple food, I'm giving it 5 stars because the service and the people more than make up for it.
Excellent Greek food and very friendly owners! Unfortunately, the atmosphere is a bit like Germania's clubhouse... I'll gladly come back.
A sports club restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was very good. Nothing was overcooked and it was properly seasoned, just as it should be. The restaurant has a Greek theme. It's highly recommended for a quick bite after a walk or in the evening. The presentation on the plate was typical of a sports club restaurant, but perfectly acceptable. No unnecessary frills or decorations on the plate. Upon entering, the kitchen door was open to the left, and I must say it was very clean and tidy. It's also recommended for family celebrations with children. There's a large outdoor terrace with plenty of space between tables. The staff is very friendly, clean, and always accommodating. Special requests are fulfilled immediately, without excuses, to the best of their ability. The portion sizes are really generous. My suggestion to the owner: I would use larger plates for the main courses and repurpose the plates used today for cold dishes.
