Here at Lorenzo's, we have designed a space where you can find all the information you need in one convenient location. Whether you're looking for our menu, opening hours, or details on how to place an order, we hope you find everything you seek! At Lorenzo's, we pride ourselves on doing things a bit differently. Every order—whether for collection, delivery, or walk-in—is cooked fresh to your specification. While this may mean a slightly longer wait, we firmly believe that every customer deserves delicious, freshly cooked food. If you're in a hurry, you can place an order for collection, but please remember that these slots fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Our phone lines open approximately half an hour before our official opening time, allowing you to place your order ahead of time. When you arrive for a collection order, just give us your booking name, and we’ll prioritize your order without making you join the queue. Please note that walk-in orders may take longer during busy times, and we appreciate your patience as we cater to all our customers. If you need to cancel for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible to prevent any food waste, as each meal is made especially for you. All pre-orders need to be placed over the phone, and unfortunately, we cannot accept orders via messaging or social media due to the high volume of service demands. Lorenzo's is a proud family-run business: a Dad, Mum, Daughter, and Son team dedicated to providing high-quality food and service. We are committed to going the extra mile and believe this difference enhances both our products and the customer experience. IMPORTANT INFO: To keep our costs down and prices affordable, we do not use online ordering apps like Just Eat, and we only accept cash payments. Please remember, we are NOT a fast food restaurant—just a place where we cook delicious food as quickly as we can. We look forward to serving you soon! As for our business hours, we officially open as noted below, but often stay open later than listed. You can place orders for delivery and collection about half an hour prior to our opening. A BIT OF HISTORY: Our Fish Chip shop on Church Street has been a staple in the community for many years. Formerly known as the Ferri Fish Bar, it was opened by Luigi and Maria Ferri in October 1965. After running successful fish chip shops in East Kilbride and Glasgow City Centre, our family relocated to embark on a new adventure in the charming town of Dunoon. Lorenzo, along with his father Orlando and partner Bronagh, took over the Ferri Fish Bar in October 2000, refurbishing the shop and rebranding it as Lorenzo's in May 2003. Our love for Dunoon led us to raise our own family in this wonderful area, with our two grown children now working alongside us. Over the past few years, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made significant changes to our operations, many of which remain in place today. Currently, we pride ourselves on cooking all food fresh to order, a change embraced by our regular and walk-in customers alike. This approach means you receive food that hasn't been sitting around for long, and it also helps us reduce food waste. You can place orders ahead of time by phone, though this isn't mandatory; it just helps reduce your wait time at the shop. We also provide a home delivery service for Dunoon and the surrounding areas. If you're visiting Dunoon for the day or a short getaway, there’s nothing quite like taking some of our fish and chips down to the waterfront and enjoying the breathtaking views from a bench or the beach.
