This café has a lovely atmosphere and offers a separate vegan menu (just a reminder to ask for it if they don't offer it right away!). I absolutely loved the vegan French toast; it was amazing and came with plenty of fruit. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about The Good Earth CafÉ:
I've been wanting to try this place for a while, so during the Christmas break, I finally decided to go. I was just looking for something quick and affordable, but the only option they had available was a vegan sandwich for $7.90. The bun was a bit dry and crumbly, but it was tasty enough. The fillings were good, though there wasn't much to it—just a ring of black olive, a sage leaf, and a sun-dried tomato. View all feedback.

One of my favorite cafes! Whenever I visit my brother, we always go here for lunch, brunch, or breakfast!
Absolutely amazing restaurant! I've visited four times in just three days, which speaks volumes about how much I love it. The coffee is outstanding, and I've thoroughly enjoyed every meal I've chosen.
Delish super busy Easter Sunday service was 100%! great coffee yummy food, friendly staff.
Word to the wise: order the Ginger Crunch Frittata also delish!
Very nice place to eat, groovy decor and yummy food and coffee, lots of options too vegan, df, gf.
Nestled near the University of Otago, this charming café offers a delightful atmosphere and an inviting menu that caters to both herbivores and omnivores. Diners can enjoy an impressive selection of vegan options, including standout dishes like vegan French toast and organic vegetable hash. While some found the service a bit slow, the friendly staff and excellent coffee were universally appreciated. Though a few reviews noted inconsistencies in portion sizes and availability of vegan items, the café's overall ambiance and food quality make it a popular choice for students and locals alike. A hidden gem worth a visit!.

The experience was quite straightforward. They offered a few vegan options, and it's generally a lovely coffee café. The ambiance is inviting, and I would have enjoyed spending more time there if I had the chance.
Could only easily find a vegan option on the menu and it was a sincean scramble. comes with side, tofu, aubergines, mushrooms, boiled tomatoes and ciabatta. it was not really confused, was oily and the ciabatta was soggy. not worth the $15.50 imo.
After some time of standing in front of the counter one of the staff finally approached. Asked if there is anything else sweet and vegan rather than chocolate fudge and received straight answer: “no”. Ok, Ordered scrambled seitan with tofu, eggplant, veggies and cibata for 15 bucks. received like 5 spoons portion of micro veggies chunks with thumb size cibata (never seen smaller) and no tofu at all. Took me about minute to finish this my “meal” and left. Definitely my last visit.
Nice cafe, lovely atmosphere, nice staff. The coffee was good (I ordered an almond mocha), and the breakfast was also good (I had vegan french toast). Maybe a little bit too expensive, but definitely a nice place to have breakfast.
I've eaten at this cafe twice now. I normally wouldn't go anywhere with no vegan options on the menu, but both times have been work-related lunches. It is a charming little cafe with lovely staff. The chef has been very good both times at putting something together (which I appreciate! , but I hate having to ask the counter staff and stand there holding up the line while they check! The food is fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend it for vegetarians (and/or coffee drinkers , and also maybe for vegans that aren't quite so self-conscious! Updated from previous review on Tuesday June 12, 2012 Note: I've been back multiple times since my original review. I've had multiple instances where I've ordered vegan food (usually soup and it has come with cheese on it (and/or on the bread rolls . Something to be aware of when ordering! It has put me off going here a bit..

The prices seem reasonable, but I’ve always been cautious about cafe food and daily menu items since they can be expensive. However, maybe one day I'll return to try their menu options; for now, I’m excited to keep discovering the best picks from the display!
I really enjoyed this café; it exceeded all my expectations! I was only in Dunedin for one night, and this place was conveniently located just down the road from where I stayed. It was refreshing to see a reusable straw being used, and they had fantastic options for vegans and vegetarians!
Stopped for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. Good food and pleasant service.
Had coffee and a lemon slice which were pretty good. Loved the courtyard and interior of the place!
Located opposite the otago uni. Awesome 8ndoor atmosphere. Wide selection for veetarians and good vegan options at same price. We had vege and vegan breakfast for 4. Tasty food, friendly staff, awesome setting, wishe they were present in Auckland too!
