What User doesn't like about Skyline Street Food Caversham:
Used to be the go to place for Japanese food in Caversham. Recent changes have seen the the menu shrink to a mish-mash of cultural foods with no real angle or specialty. You'll find curry powder added to your salmon rice balls and donburi classics removed in favour of tray held westernised-eastern foods. It's eadable, but not great. Prices seem a little high for what you're buying now, but it remains a great place to... View all feedback.
11$ for some chewy microwaved chicken on rice what a joke. Expensive for what you get, rice ball and sushi pieces the smallest Iv seen in town from your stall at the airport
What a shame, the steam buns I doubt are fresh or made on site.. In fact I have brought these exact steam buns from the supermarket in the frozzen food section. I also felt the dumplings where of the same nature as they were ready before We even finished paying. You guys have an amazing space.. but you have to provide an experience, not show affordability of your menu.
I stopped by for a coffee and ended up staying for the delicious food we saw being prepared in the kitchen. The place is bright and spacious, with cheerful and humorous staff. It was such a wonderful little discovery on our travels!
The sushi and coffee were excellent. It's a lovely café in the suburbs, perfect for taking a relaxing break.
This used to be the go-to spot for Japanese cuisine in Caversham. However, recent changes have resulted in a menu that feels like a random assortment of various cultural dishes, lacking a clear focus or specialty. You'll find unexpected ingredients like curry powder in your salmon rice balls, and traditional donburi classics have been replaced by a selection of Westernized Asian foods on trays. While it's edible, it’s far from impressive. The prices seem a bit steep for what you get now, although it's still a great place to grab a coffee to go. Unfortunately, the cozy atmosphere it once had has been overshadowed by loud television screens. If you're seeking a pleasant ambiance and quality food, it might be time to look elsewhere. However, if you're in the mood for an eclectic, quick bite, this place fits the bill. The staff remains as friendly as ever.
