a group of us visited this farmhouse style a few weeks ago and were treated exceptionally as well as guests diners. we had a lot of breakfast menus, all with maple syrup naturally. the restaurant works seasonal to support their on-site maple Syrup business, which is offered along with a tour when they cook sirup down. they also have several km of hiking snow trails on the back forest square to make for a large family... My sister-in-law and I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast. We were impressed with the delicious homemade breakfast options, especially the large and fluffy pancakes. The maple butter was a standout, and the staff was friendly and provided fast service. We all left feeling satisfied and content, with continuous refills of tea and coffee.
It was a wonderful trip to dumfries maples of fredericton, fast and so beautiful sights to see along the river! when we arrived, the parking lot was full, and a beautiful herr could see that I had a hard time and directed me to a place near the door. once in the inner we were greeted by the most amazing host who told us it would be a short wait for a table. He has a chair to me so I could sit with my 12 month old and came back to check with us while we were waiting. it was a short waiting time, and we were on a table. our server was smiling and was quick to get drinks with us and take our order. pancakes were delicious and our server checked us to make sure we had what we needed for eating and drinking several times. when we finished our meal, we went to the hut to see how the sirup was made. there were two men who gave us a tour and answered all our questions. then we enjoyed some maple taffy from the snow. what an amazing sugar bush! many thanks dumfries maples! 10/10 we will be back!

After hearing many of our friend's speak of the breakfast at Dumfries Maples, my husband and I decided to try it on a Sunday morning in April. It took us about a half hour to get there from Fredericton but it was an easy drive...and directions given on their website made it easy to find. They have a large building totally made of natural wood, with many tables. The waitress was very pleasant and in no time we had a lovely breakfast of bacon, eggs, beans, toast, tea and coffee. There are different combinations you can choose from including pancakes. The sugar shack, where the maple sugar is processed, is right beside the restaurant and was open to the public. On the drive back to Fredericton, we decided to stay on what was the old highway and enjoyed a beautiful drive along the Saint John River. The new highway west from Fredericton will get you to your destination faster but you miss all the beautiful scenery we enjoyed that day. You'll be glad you took that route.
