An incredibly welcoming and experienced staff. Be patient with the language barrier if one exists and use the assistance bell if you need anything (this is the norm). Private booths should be called ahead of time to be reserved and are recommended for large parties. A lot of folks throughout the restaurant are ordering these large specials so use your time wisely and chit chat away. You're not here for a quick dinner... View all feedback.
We've visited many sashimi restaurants in Georgia, but this one has become our favorite. We love their incredibly fresh seafood and side dishes. Even their other menu items are fantastic! Everything is delicious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. You can tell they take pride in their service as soon as you arrive.
I had lunch here with my partner today, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the generous portion sizes. Usually, I go for extravagant rolls and tend to avoid plain sushi due to past negative experiences. However, I decided to try the sushi and sashimi lunch special, and it was absolutely amazing. The portions were substantial for the price, the fish was perfectly cut, and it was the freshest sushi I've ever had. My partner ordered the chicken teriyaki lunch box, and while he mentioned there wasn't enough chicken, I think that’s more about his dislike for vegetables than the dish itself. I also appreciated that, in addition to a Japanese menu, they offered an array of Korean side dishes. Having lived in Korea for two years, this really took me back! The waitstaff was friendly, and just a tip—if you need anything, there are little bells at the table, which is common in Korean restaurants. I will definitely return if I'm in the area again!
But there’s more. The main course arrives as a colossal plate filled with various slices of fish, accompanied by another plate of nigiri where the fish pieces overflow onto the rice. Each bite of the sushi and sashimi is a testament to their expertise with fish; you can tell it's sourced from the freshest fishmonger in town. The meal concludes with a bowl of rice topped with baked masago, alongside a cup of spicy miso fish stew, both of which are part of the Super Sashimi Sushi. You might wonder how I could possibly eat more, and I found myself pondering the same question. While the rice was a bit dry, I thoroughly enjoyed the fish stew, as it tied everything together and served as a sort of palate cleanser, signaling the end of the meal. While I loved the food and overall dining experience, I must dock a star for the service. The waitstaff is attentive at first, but after placing your order, it becomes quite challenging to catch their attention, even with the call button. It took 15 minutes just to order sake or get a water refill. They are quite busy on weekend evenings, so reservations are highly advisable. The restaurant's layout is well-suited for COVID safety, with numerous private dining rooms and a large temperature-checking machine at the entrance. Just a heads-up: it tends to be on the chilly side, so you might want to bring a sweater, as they keep the temperature low to maintain the freshness of the fish.
Excellent Japanese restaurant with a big city vibe, offering generous portions. The cucumber salad and tempura were both sizable and delicious. The staff was attentive, and the dining area was clean.
The fish was incredibly fresh and the prices were very reasonable. I also appreciated their COVID safety measures. I felt well looked after and left feeling very satisfied.
