Reviews - Falling Rabbit
Reviews summary
Nestled in downtown Duluth, this restaurant offers a gorgeous atmosphere and commendable service, creating an inviting dining experience. While many diners rave about the attentive staff and unique cocktails, opinions on the food are divided. Some dishes, such as the charcuterie board and Spaghetti Bolognese, leave much to be desired, while highlights like the Mushroom Maitake and special vegetarian pasta impress. The limited menu has prompted mixed reactions, with a few patrons finding their favorites unavailable. Overall, the restaurant presents a lovely setting for a special occasion, though the culinary execution may sometimes fall short of its fine dining aspirations.

High quality food and service. We ordered the Date Night special which includes an appetizer, two entrees, a dessert, and a bottle of red wine. I’d return to try some of the crafted cocktails as the table next to us ordered a few interesting looking concoctions. View all feedback.
What James wilson dislikes about Falling Rabbit:
I used to enjoy this restaurant, but my recent visit was disappointing in terms of the food quality. The atmosphere and service were as good as usual, however. The charcuterie board was mostly cubed cheese that appeared to be from a store like Costco. The Spaghetti Bolognese was lacking flavor. I found it difficult to justify the high price and the label of fine dining when the food seemed uninspired. View all feedback.

This was our first time, and we had a lovely experience. It is such a cozy, unique space Downtown Duluth. From the decor, staff, to the food it is now a new favorite for us. Perfect place to bring our family and guests when they visit, too!
Phenomenal service, unfortunately the big mark for rating is based on food. 200 meal, 2people. 1 cocktail. 2 1st course, one mid course and 2 entrees. Wish I could say I liked everything. Just fell short. Some items overcooked, sauces were over rich and super salty.. Again ambiance is beautiful. Small settings(20tables max).. overall food was bad, service was good. Would I come back, No. I also don't recommend eating here.
Wonderful food and service. We had the mushroom soup is one of the best I’ve ever had. We had muscles for the second course. They were super yummy and for the main course we had to beef tenderloin and truffle fries. The tenderloin was absolutely melted in your mouth and the truffle flies were wonderful. We were so full. We didn’t even think about dessert. Will definitely be back again
We were there for the Valentine’s Day menu and it was PHENOMENAL! Also the bartender was amazing and definitely knew what he was doing. All of the staff were just so nice.
Everything about our experience was top shelf! Our waitress, Truelove, was so fun and attentive. The Valentine’s 5 course menu was extraordinary! I never knew duck could be so delectable. The bartender makes a mean cocktail. It was our first experience and we loved the place. Ready to buy a booth and become regulars!

Incredible food and drinks and the service and decor/atmosphere is amazing! A must see!

I. PARKING Downtown Duluth has a variety of free, public parking lots. On weekend evenings, you may need to drive around a bit to find a spot. If you can't find a nearby space, be prepared to walk a little. II. SERVICE The service here is outstanding! We accidentally stayed past closing time, but the staff didn't rush us out. They were incredibly accommodating and even allowed us to retrieve a forgotten purse 20 minutes after closing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Don't abuse their kindness by leaving your belongings behind though. III. QUALITY I have been consistently impressed with the cocktails and charcuterie boards at Falling Rabbit. Everything I have tried has been delicious. IV. CAPACITY Seating can be limited on weekends, with only a few bar stools available for walk-in guests. I highly recommend making a reservation to ensure you have a spot.
This was my first time dining in downtown Duluth and I was blown away by the delicious food. As a vegetarian, the chef kindly prepared a special pasta dish for me without goat cheese and it was absolutely delicious! The dumplings were also a standout dish - unique and cooked to perfection. The service from the server and staff was exceptional, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.
Fantastic evening, cocktails are always great, value was really good. My husband and friend ordered the veal and lamb bolognese and after tasting, wish I had ordered! It was insanely good. I ordered the market fish with a smoky butter and bacon chimichurri. Good but a little salty. Brussel sprout caesar salad was delish!! All in all a great evening.

Falling Rabbit has quickly become my favorite restaurant in the Atlanta-Metro area. We grew to love them so much that we had our rehearsal dinner there. Not only is executive chef Chuck Woods?, culinary vision a force to be reckoned with but his wife Babs has assembled an all-star team of servers in their front-of-house. Combine the spectacular cuisine with an amazing beverage menu with an eclectic and chic ambiance and you?ll be charmed by one of the best gems in theAtlanta area. Outstanding doesn?t even come close to describing this place. 11/10
Celebrating a birthday, this was our first visit. The atmosphere and service was excellent. We had a starter of meatballs and they have a fresh take on meatballs that was the best I?ve had. The craft cocktails are varied and unusual. The entrees after such a great start was a bit of a disappointment. The fresh cod had an excellent cook and flavor but the overall color palette of the dish was brown. Not visually appealing. Strip lion again excellent cook and flavor, but hadseveral strips of silver fat that can?t be chewed. Also much of the asparagus was very woody, again cannot be chewed. Hopefully an off night with prep.
Located downtown Duluth in a remarkable building. The energy is amazing and the ambience is spectacular. Great service too. I had the grilled oysters. They were not grilled, but baked and not hot. Very small too, but had a great taste. I had the chicken cavatilli for an entree and it made up for the appetizer. Great taste and very hot. The pasta tasted great. Had two margaritas and they weren't watered-down. Prices were just right and they have a military discount too.Overall, a good experience and I'll give them another try.
One of the best brunches we've had, the Wagyu brisket bowl was delicious with unique flavors, the crumpets were great, coffee robust, and service was spot on, thank you Jay! Looking forward to going back for dinner! We returned for dinner and asexpected, we had a delicious meal! Started with the warm goat cheese appetizer with honey, monk fish main dish with Caribbeancurry and short rib over house made spaghetti! The deserts were unique and delicately balanced. Custard with white chocolate andberry compote and fudge covered with shortbread crumble. Our server Lori was kind and attentive, making our experience stellarand memorable!

The food presentation and the restaurant’s decor and ambiance are excellent. However, the flavors of the dishes didn’t quite meet my expectations. The steaks were overly salty, and some appetizers lacked a certain something I couldn’t quite identify. I’m willing to give it another try.
