5t Ice - Dulles
5t Ice
Description
Since 2014 this neighborhood boba cafe has earned loyal fans for its Black Milk Tea, pandan and weekend banh cam, plus rotating packaged weekend eats. Friendly staff and a dessert-forward menu make it a family-friendly go-to, though recent visits report uneven drink quality — bland avocado smoothies or overly sweet teas — occasional order mistakes and outdated online hours. Treats like halo-halo intrigue newcomers, but expect some variability in availability and consistency.

This place has really declined; it used to be my go-to spot for drinks and snacks, but that’s no longer the case. The drinks have been disappointing lately—either overly sweet or they taste like plain water. We ordered two avocado smoothies, but they were so bland that all we could taste was ice; there was no hint of avocado flavor at all.
The drinks are fantastic, and the customer service is outstanding! Food rating: 4 out of 5.
The dessert here is delightful, and my favorite is definitely the banh cam, although it’s only available on weekends. I also enjoyed their pandan dessert, which was quite tasty. I’m looking forward to trying their halo halo someday, as it looks fantastic. However, I'm not a huge fan of their half cake and flan. The cake was a bit dry, and while the flan was smooth, I would have preferred a stronger egg flavor.
This is absolutely my favorite boba spot. Their regular Black Milk Tea is simply amazing. Plus, on weekends, they offer an assortment of packaged food for sale, which is always fantastic. Food: 5/5
