Nice look at the passers-by, cyclists, trams, at the line of storeys buildings on Graf Adolf Str, at the nearby Stresemann Platz and its...yuccas. Very pleasant stay in the coolness of the evening after such a hot day. After an Aperol Spritz as an aperitif we ate hearty Insalata Mista and Caprese, Mozzarella Caprese, Penne All Arrabbiata, Gnocchi alla Sorrentina. Good food. It was a mild summer night

Astore is a genuine Italian restaurant with an extensive menu. The starters include antipasto, classical Italian hors d’oeuvre. You can order soups, salads, pasta, beef, pork and chicken. You can find the menu and prices on the internet. The pizza prices starts at EUR for a Margarita to the most expensive at with a medium price of EUR. The wood for the pizza oven was stacked along the counter. The medium price of the pasta dishes is EUR. I like pasta so I was looking at Tortellini i Spinaci (spinach, garlic and cream sauce) and Penne Emiliana (salmon, broccoli and pinot sauce). Finally I decided for pork and vegetables so I asked for Filetto di Maiale(fillet of pork in marsala sauce) along with a small bottle of Pellegrino and a glass Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. As always in Germany the portion was big. I believe the vegetables had been done in the oven and they were very tasty especially the broccoli and the carrots. I had tiramisu for dessert and the total bill came to EUR, which I find very reasonable.

Situated very close to our hotel this was a very nice restaurant with lovely Italian food.
