Of course, this is not a luxury Italian and would not like to be either, I would call it a ground-level overall. very nicely I find the possibility to sit out in the summer and to watch that drive on the road. thanks to the team and until soon.
This restaurant was close to my hotel and was well worth trying. Not fine dining, but fresh flowers on the table, a lit candle, good service and good food, who needs more? I looked closely at the food being eaten next to me and didn't see any wrinkling noses. When my Großer salat mit schweinefiletstreifen arrived I was absolutely not disappointed. Extremely tasty salad and really nicely pieces of Schwein.
I think some previous reviewers may have been unlucky because my meal, just now, was superb.Unbidden, the waitress brought freshly prepared dough balls, straight from the stone oven, with herb butter and pitted olives. If I'd known, I might not have ordered my starter of bruschetta at all. When it came, this was perfectly prepared with the right balance of finely chopped tomatoes, onion, garlic and rucola, atop crispy toasted bread. The spaghetti bolognese felt authentically rich, with al dente pasta and plenty of meaty sauce. Again, she was right there with grated parmesan and the pepper grinder. For me, it was light on the herbs and garlic but still, a great attempt. My usual dessert, tiramisu, looked lovely, dressed up with apple segments, but in truth it lacked that belt of alcohol that I truly desire. The marsala was there but as a hint whereas I like it slathered on.All in all, a creditable performance and better than I anticipated. It's fairly cheap for D-dorf, who can argue with €8 for a main course and €21 all in? Some dishes such as Saltimbocca do however cost that much on their own, so it's not "Cheap Eats" all around. But then, nothing in Dusseldorf is cheap (unless you want a kebab).
Large dining room, friendly service. not particularly flexible: I asked for a non-alcoholic aperitif - there is not, there is only what is on the map. pizzen are good, slightly thin. to the dessert zabaglione per due - very tasty! why only for two? prices are normal for düsseldorf center. parking is difficult, but this restaurant can't do anything for it.
