The “Alte Rheinfähre” lies, as the name suggests, directly on the Rhine in the Rhine-Westphalia of imiserwerth, where the rheinfähre is applied to meerbusch Langst-Kierst. directly in front is a paid parking space 5 euro (including 4 euro voucher). we had found a free parking space, which is in imperial but extremely difficult - so you can also allow the paid parking space. but also has the advantage that not all visitors of the Rhine promenade can park here and thus visitors of the restaurant can usually get a nearby parking lot, which then costs only 1 € and which fall in a good eating with several people then not really into weight. we first made an extended walk on the Rhine, which is only a few meters away marvelled and then turned into a coffee in the beer garden of the old rheinfähre. in front of the restaurant there is a terrace and further direction rhein a beer garden under old chestnuts with beautiful views of the Rhine. the “Alte Rheinfähre” also seems to be rather kinder friendly, because directly between the garden and the parking lot there is a well equipped playground, even with small electric cars. I liked the menu very well, the prices were appropriate but inspired me to the afternoon the card with freshly waffeln. so I ordered a wad with hot cries and saw that was really delicious. Outside, only small coffees are offered, which is not really a problem for us coffee mackerel. well, when you called them they also came immediately and also the ordered foods and drinks were served quickly. the crowning, however, came when paying: first, a coffee was calculated too much, then the waiter remembered that he had calculated too little a scoral we paid. but my man became stubborn by the now paid price and reckoned. the waiter probably saw him in the card and came shortly after that with a printed cup leaf and refunded us the amount for the coffee.
