A classy, unassuming Bay Area Chinese seafood spot serves Hong Kong-style dim sum and traditional dishes with attractive presentation and attentive, professional service. An a la carte menu guarantees hot plates instead of carts; favorites include siu mai, sticky rice in lotus leaf and roasted duck. Prices are reasonable for groups and weekday lunch. Minor missteps reported—occasional underwhelming tofu, charged hot water and a soggy pancake on a Peking duck—but overall flavorful, fresh dim sum and standout staff keep diners coming back.
We ordered 8 different Dim Sums and one plate dish. Each order was very tasty and flavorful. Service outstanding. Waitresses and Waiters brought our food nice and hot. Consistently our tea pot full and as well as our ice water. Removing our empty platesfrom our table and other things. As the old saying goes, you pay for what you get. It was worth it! This includes being withgood friends while we ate and laughed.
Dim sum is delicious. Fried noodle is bit salty. Service is great.
Beautiful, classy, Chinese seafood restaurant. The wait staff here are some of the best in the bay area, friendly and very attentive. Food is outstanding, as always, whether you choose seafood, traditional beef, pork or fowl dishes. Delicious andattractively presented. Tucked away in a very unassuming location, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Mayflower Restaurant is my go-to Dim Sum spot. My favorites are Chinese Broccoli in Oyster Sauce, Baked BBQ Pork Buns, Roasted Duck, Shrimp Pork Dumplings, Steamed Sticky Rice w/ Meat wrapped in Lotus Leaf, Baked Egg Custard Buns, Baked Egg Custard Tart,and Singapore Style Chow Fun w/ Shrimp BBQ Pork and Bean Sprouts. The staff is very attentive and the kitchen gets the ordersout quickly. The Mirrored Horse is fantastic.
The service is really good! We ordered a lot (didn?t get a chance to take photos of them all) and most of them tasted good. There are 7 of us so we can choose a great amount of selections and the price is very reasonable for a group of people.
