Contribute FeedbackYanagi, a long-time favorite for sushi lovers, has recently received some mixed reviews. While some diners were disappointed with the rushed service and lack of the usual playful tricks from the Teppenyaki cooks, others praised the quality and preparation of the food, especially at the Teppan table. Despite some recent hiccups, fans of Yanagi are still drawn back by the delicious rolls, friendly staff, and entertaining hibachi experience. In contrast, Zocalo continues to impress with its fresh and varied menu, receiving high praise for its delicious food and beautiful presentations. A few diners mentioned a slight decline in the service at Yanagi, but still plan to return due to the good value and quality of the food. Overall, while Yanagi may have had some recent missteps, Zocalo remains a solid choice for a unique and delicious dining experience.
The food was delicious. service a little slow. the prices were higher than expected. environment was ok, but noise level was very high.
The experience at this restaurant was truly wonderful.
The sushi was too sweet and the fried calamari was rubbery, not well cooked. I even have a dirty little bit, but I didn't complain. I went with a sick and bad motte taste. promised not to be back. on the bright side the waiter was nice.
Yanagi was my favorite place to go for sushi, been going there for over 10 years and recommended to family and friends. It was the best in town but this last time was a real disappointment which resulted in my Husband and I deciding that we need to find a new sushi place. The quality was awful, smaller rolls and the fish did not seem fresh. This is truly heartbreaking because we loved Yanagi, don’t know what happened. The same exact thing happened to our previous sushi place and it was due to a change in ownership/management that’s when we discovered Yanagi but now he need to find a better place.
Made a reservation. Showed up 10 minutes early but host tells us they don’t have a table for us. They just seated a large party so they can’t honor reservation. What is purpose of taking a reservation if they don’t plan on honoring it. Complete incompetence. Don’t waste your time here.
