Mango Tree - Dublin
Mango Tree
Description
The Mango Tree restaurant offers a variety of Thai dishes, including curries and spits. However, multiple customers have experienced issues with food quality, delivery time, and misinformation about allergens in their dishes. Despite these negative experiences, some customers have enjoyed specific dishes, such as the green Thai curry and the spice box. Overall, the restaurant seems to have a mixed reputation, with some customers recommending it for fresh and tasty food, while others advise to avoid it due to poor quality and lack of transparency about allergens.

I ordered a meal for delivery and it took 2 hours and 40 minutes to arrive. I called after 1 hour and was told it had just left with the delivery driver. After 2 hours, I called back multiple times and received no answer. I ended up calling another takeaway, who arrived within 20 minutes. The customer service was terrible, and I didn't even receive an apology, just a text saying I would be refunded.
I have eaten here lots of times previously. But not in the last 2 years. Ordered from here last night and regretted it. Very expensive and poor quality. I did like the spice box however, but that was the only positive part of the meal. Massaman curry was watery, lacking flavour and the prawns looked anemnic. Eating with your eyes, would have left you starving! The beef was very poor quality. And even the rice wasn't great. Avoid this would be my advice.
This mango tree is my favourite takeaway as the food is fresh and you feel like you are eating something proper unlike some greasy takeaway The food always takes at least 40 minutes to deliver so it may be best to collect if you are in a hurry
I called ahead to ask if this restaurant had options for a vegetarian with celiac disease. I was informed that there were a few dishes available, with the vegan cashew with rice being one of them. I decided to double-check their allergen menu online, and discovered that while the dishes they mentioned from the vegan menu were suitable for vegetarians, they all contained wheat. I am glad I did not rely solely on their information, as I could have become very ill. I would advise anyone with allergies to steer clear of this restaurant.
