Marta took excellent care of me, and I thoroughly enjoyed the smoked salmon, the toast topped with spade, mushrooms, and goat cheese, and the bramble cocktail made with gin.

On our first visit, we ordered lunch but rec... read more During our stay, we also had lunch twice at the Knights Bar. Unfortunately, our experience there was disappointing. On our first visit, we ordered lunch but received the wrong dishes. An Irish lady took away the incorrect meals, and we waited for half an hour for our correct orders. After lunch, we ordered coffee, but both of our cups were dirty—mine had a lipstick stain, and my companion's had old milk stains on the side. We thought it might have been just a one-off issue, but our next visit to the Knights Bar for lunch was equally problematic. When our drinks arrived, both my partner and I noticed lipstick stains on the glasses—one light pink and one dark pink. The cutlery I received was also stained and dirty, and my partner once again received the wrong dish when the food arrived. In comparison, the Knights Bar does not hold a candle to the Fascination Restaurant. The latter offered wonderful food, excellent and attentive staff, and immaculate service, with clean plates, mugs, and cutlery. In the past, the Knights Bar was enjoyable during our visit to Clontarf, but this time, it felt dirty and disorganized, which was quite disappointing. This was especially frustrating because, apart from these issues, everything else about our stay at the hotel was outstanding.

Lovely setting and great staff. Food was mediocre, fries way too greasy and the burger was cremated with an odd smoky flavour. Wings were amazing though. read more Lovely setting and great staff.
