Was Anonym at Howards Way a mag?
Had breakfast here recently. Food good. They use to have filter coffee with a free refill which was great. Now each coffee is charged for this is a pity filter coffee is much nicer than Americano. I was a very regular customer won’t be visiting as much with this change particularly when coffee was previously included with Breakfast now charged for a increase. Waitress not very nice . What Anonym dislikes about Howards Way:
eating was great, but we were not understood when we asked and got very blunt reply back. we asked if it and children menus for lunch, except the children breakfast menu and the woman just started pointing to the breakfast menu and then we had to ask the waitress how what? what do you want? what we found rather rude. I don't think she meant it like she said, but we were still a bit withdrawn. I've never been anywhere... View all feedback.
I have been a long-standing breakfast goer. However, each time I have gone recently you’d be blind not to notice the appalling behaviour of the owner, Declan. He is the rudest owner that lets down the otherwise fine staff and reputation of what once was a nice family breakfast spot. He is aggressive and rude. The way he speaks to staff and costumers alike is a disgrace that I can no longer ignore and continue to give money towards. My most recent visit was the last straw. We asked a lovely young waitress if we could sit at an outdoor table as it was very busy and just became free. When she went to get bits to clear and clean the table the owner shouted at us ‘who said you could sit there’ in front of the whole restaurant. His manner was extremely off putting and I actually felt concerned to say which waitress it was. He continued with aggressive mannerisms which I didn’t appreciate such as pointing at us and the new table. It’s disappointing to see unhappy staff with a high turn over along with a decline in the quality of the food (there was eggshell in my eggs Benedict). There seems to be only one person to blame, the owner.
Usually a tradition for our family to come Here on each birthday, breakfast is great, over the past few visits the owner has been the most ignorant man I’ve even encountered in a restaurant, I’m not surprise to see others on this saying the same. He’s vile to his staff and customers. He makes it such an uncomfortable atmosphere. We will not be back.
Just back from here yesterday. I would occasionally go to Rathgar for breakfast. However with that no longer bring in existence, I headed to Churchtown the original) for an all day scrambled breakfast for my partner and me. My God , its truly one of the best breakfasts anywhere. Someone mentioned Howard 's way to me about a week ago and it 's been on my mind since. Couldn 't wait to get back for an All dayer . It screems quality and portion size and value for money along with fresh coffee . It 's a thing of beauty. I didn 't have to eat anything else for the day after. Thanks folks. Same quality and service was quick. Will definitely be back.
Great local cafe restaurant. Fresh top class breakfast and lunch with friendly well trained professional staff. I've been several times with my wife and friends and will be back again. Good value, spotless, friendly staff. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed
