Welcome to Hemmingway's, a restaurant with tradition and character at its heart, located off the seafront. Our hallmark is seafood, but we also offer delicious options for meat lovers. We always make the most of the freshest seasonal produce to cater to all tastes. Hemmingway's is situated in the heart of Vernon Avenue, Clontarf, just a short 10-minute drive from Dublin City Centre, accessible by bus, DART, or taxi. Our dinner hours are Wednesday to Sunday from 6:00pm. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

This place is a gem! Quality of food is fine dining but in a very casual setting. Yummy tasting food, friendly atmosphere and excellent service! Our night in Antigua (Xmas eve) and due to all the reviews we booked here. The location is downtown, vibey, buzzing and we were seated on the balcony overlooking the action at Heritage Quay. Excellent seafood with Spanish influences. Loved the Spanish style prawns and Seafood medley. Will definitely be back!
There were four of us there. Very good sea food restaurant. No run-of-the-mill cuisine! It deserves the good reviews. Good cooks and nice service. Only the espresso wasn't good. Was bitter. We would definitely go there again. Thanks Addendum: We were there again two days later and the food was simply sensational again. Absolutely recommended! Thank you
We are so lucky to call Hemmingways a neighbourhood restaurant. We have dined here on a number of occasions ever since it opened and the food and service is always consistently good. If you happen to be in this area and you’re looking for a great seafood restaurant Hemmingways is your place to go.
As usual my trip to hemmingways did not disappoint the food was amazing as was the service my friends were very impressed well done to all will definitely return
Had a lovely time today at Hemmingways. Second visit in a month since I first discovered the place and can’t wait to go again and again. I mean, the food is phenomenal, the host is near perfect, and the quiet atmosphere was great! Almost forgot to mention: the seafood medley you see in the photo was beyond great! Whatever magic goes into the sauce, keep doing it!
