Reviews - Devitt's
Reviews summary
A highly recommended Irish pub in Dublin with great service, reasonable prices, and delicious food like Dublin coddle. Despite rave reviews for their music, drinks, and atmosphere, some customers express frustration with pricey, disappointing food like anaemic tacos and greasy sandwiches. The pub is also noted for getting crowded, especially on special occasions like St. Patrick's Day, making it difficult to navigate the packed space. Overall, the pub offers a lively vibe, friendly staff, and enjoyable experiences for those looking to enjoy a traditional Irish pub setting.

All good food, the burger especially as well as the sandwich. bruschetta and fish and chips no more. the attention very good, the waiter was very nice. as for the price, within the reasonable in dublin. it was the pub of the year in recommended without a doubt. What Anonym dislikes about Devitt's:
Lovely service and staff but grossly overpriced and disappointing food. Pints are dear too but that's to be expected post pandemic. Food is an insult three anaemic tacos for 11 euro. A skinny steak sandwich for an appalling 20 euro. Empty spaces on plates filled with 35 cent tortilla chips. I've eaten here twice and kicked myself both times. Something needs to change. The food is an insult. Staff are a dream but I ne... View all feedback.

In from the states and wanted to have a real Irish pub experience, we went upstairs for live music along with our dinner and it was truly such a wonderful experience. Service was beyond stellar, all the waitresses we encountered were so warm and welcoming when we came in and attentive throughout our meal. Food was delicious- my dad had the roast of the day which was bacon and cabbage and we all wished we had ordered the same- that cabbage was SO good!! Truly feel we’ve been disappointing my Irish ancestors by making such drab cabbage our whole lives- can’t recommend enough such a lovely meal

We walked into Devitts pub looking to satisfy our hunger and toast with a Guinness on our first day in Dublin. We weren't expecting a culinary revelation, but rather a place with character, history, and a good atmosphere; in that respect, Devitts delivered. The pub welcomed us with a cozy and vibrant atmosphere, punctuated by screens broadcasting various sports simultaneously. Football, rugby, and racing mingled with conversation and beer, creating that pulse so characteristic of an Irish pub. We ordered a Guinness and a lemonade. The service was quick, and the drinks arrived in excellent condition. When ordering food, the service slowed down a bit, and it took a while to get assistance, although we weren't in a hurry. We tried two Irish classics: Dublin Coddle and Guinness Stew. The former was comforting and well-executed. The latter seemed good at first, but after trying other stews in Dublin and Galway, we realized it didn't quite reach the same level: the meat was tougher and less tender than expected. And yet, it would be unfair to reduce Devitts to that one detail alone. Not all places should be judged solely on the perfection of their cuisine. Some are valued for what they represent, for the atmosphere they offer, and for the way they allow visitors to feel, even if just for a moment, part of the pulse of a city. Devitts may have room for improvement in its Guinness Stew, but it retains something that many more polished establishments don't always achieve: character. It's a pub with history, a great atmosphere, and an ideal energy for watching a game, sharing a pint, and letting yourself be enveloped by the spirit of Dublin.

Un repas super bon, ma femme a pris un fish and chips et moi le beef stew a la guiness ! Un régal ! Un super bon service et un décor très agréable. On reviendra !
Smashing old school pub in central Dublin. The real thing. Food and drink are excellent and the friendly service makes this a great spot to visit. As a bonus I found a parking spot directly outside (Sunday).

Fantastic pub with the best seafood chowder I've ever tasted. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was exactly what you expect from an Irish pub.
This restaurant provided a cozy and inviting atmosphere for our group to enjoy lunch and some beers. As vegetarians, we had no trouble finding a variety of delicious options to choose from, with excellent...

A large and very honest pub, authentically Irish, with well-fed beers, good peak, good atmosphere and better attention. a highly recommended experience to delight with the wonderful Irish culture.
Great pub, friendly staff. Large selection of different beers. There are many cosy corners, but something is going on in the evening. Was our first and a very nice meeting in Dublin. We look forward to coming back here: The Christmas decoration was really great. Great pub, with friendly staff. Large selection of different beers. Great pub in Dublin. The food is really good (the Dublin coddle is amazing), the service is fast and the prices are reasonable. The staff is super kind and helpful, and inside the pub there is a lovely vibe!
