What User doesn't like about Devitts:
Lovely service and staff but grossly overpriced and disappointing food. Pints are dear too but that's to be expected post pandemic. Food is an insult three anaemic tacos for 11 euro. A skinny steak sandwich for an appalling 20 euro. Empty spaces on plates filled with 35 cent tortilla chips. I've eaten here twice and kicked myself both times. Something needs to change. Had breakfast, beautiful traditional Irish pub worth a visit.
Excellent live bands with traditional Irish music, great selection of be on design. managed to get yesterday next to the band above and had a fabulous night with the locals. amazing public and table service. thanks to the two musicians from yesterday evening and we left some cash in their tipp jug as a sign of appreciation. love dublin, very friendly people in this city.
Do not order the stew! very little taste, the bark meat is anything but delicate, and the sosse seems to be emulsified and mass-produced. lively atmosphere, but a disappointing meal. addendum: I have added my own guiness to the broth on my table and it definitiw the court improved! also helped cool it because it was served absolutely scaled.
Went to Devitts on the advice of our tour bus guide as this is one of the pubs that features local music and good food. Only had the Crispy Fried Chicken (chicken tenders) and a couple of pints. Traditional bar food but it was better than expected. The curry sauce was a great dipping sauce and the chips were perfect. The live music was amazing and gives you the Dublin music/pub experience. Check on the website daily for who is playing. It was a great way to spend our last night in Dublin.
My friend and I were here for an evening meal, and also for breakfast. The staff are exceptionally friendly, professional and efficient. The food is also delicious. Also a lovely place to sit and relax in. Would thoroughly recommend.
