Eating is ok the usual servo stuffing, but a bit expensive, they pay by the nose for fuel as well. 151cpl for the same. They have showering in the toilets if they need one.
You could take a sh...es faster and be served here. even then the toilets are dirty, they drive to the next city. the employees go from the up to a line to welcome a coworker so they wait longer.
Being the only game in town between Rockhampton and Blackwater means you can charge a bit extra I guess. Yes it's a bit remote but not Simpson Desert remote. A lot of the travellers through here are miners who don't mind paying. The coffee is...good. The take aways are kept fresh with the constant trade. The place is 24 hours and th staff are always friendly. The meals are a bit average. Maybe my expectations were a bit high after sampling the coffee and take away previously. I was disappointed with a complete meal.
Food was very tasty, good choices, and cooked to request. You are sitting in a area with basic furnishings, but the staff were very friendly and really when the food is nice and reasonably priced the tables and chairs don’t really matter
I had breakfast at this restaurant two mornings in a row and I highly recommend the Egg and Bacon rolls. It can get a bit crowded in the morning with people getting breakfast and supplies for the day. The staff was friendly. I would definitely eat here again.
