The ambiance was lovely, but the food left something to be desired. My sauerbraten with dumplings and red cabbage was good, but the meat was tough and, most importantly for a sauerbraten, the sauce was practically nonexistent. My friend's redfish with noodles was under-seasoned and the fish wasn't cooked through.
Fantastic, delicious food! The ambiance is less rustic, more upscale. Friendly and professional service. I always glance at the beer menu... and I have to say: I miss the light beer, and a 0.4 liter isn't quite half a beer. I'll gladly come back and order a large one next time.
I was a guest at the Homage yesterday and what went on there was totally unacceptable. An older group of people were having their class reunion there, which they always hold at the Homage. One of the older men had his dog with him. When the dog left its seat in an unguarded moment and went for a quick walk, the boss of the Homage came and yelled angrily at the older guests, asking who this dirty dog belonged to. He threw the owner and dog out of the restaurant. When another older woman said that it was okay to say that, the boss yelled at her too, said you can just leave now and slammed the door loudly! Treating older people like that is totally unacceptable, especially these days, and being so contemptuous of animals is the last straw. I hope lots of people stop going to this place.
