This was listed as a great review on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed and would go back. My wife is a meat lover and I sometimes enjoy vegetarian. We both got meals we loved. Much of the seating is outside. Across the passageway is additional seating which appears to be a separate business but is indeed run by the restaurant. View all feedback.
What wws68 doesn't like about Die Pastamanufaktur Schüler Breuninger Gbr:
Food here was just OK. It's a modified fast food place where you order at a counter and someone brings you your food. Both of our pasts dishes were ordinary. I make much better at home. View all feedback.
A really nice option in Neustadt. The pasta is fresh and the dishes are thoughtfully prepared. The style is casual; you order at a counter and your order is brought to you. There is a chalkboard menu in German. They also have printed English menus available. Everything sounded really good to me. I settled on a pasta roll with vegetable bread that was served with chanterelle mushrooms. The description was odd and I didn 't know what to expect. I even asked one of my traveling companions, a native German speaker, to translate the German menu item in case it just didn 't translate well. I was thinking maybe it was seitan or a vegetarian meat loaf inside something like cannelloni? He translated it the same way. I ordered it partly out of curiosity and partly out of love for mushrooms. I 'm glad I did. The dish is actually perfectly described. There is a bread-like filling with veggies in it, rolled up inside of a flat pasta and sliced. It was topped with chanterelles and salad greens. It was really good. My boyfriend ordered the campanelle with apples and gorgonzola and it was decadent and amazing. We visited in June so we sat outside. They have seating out front in addition to a patio in back. The space in back was full so we sat in front. It was pleasant enough. They had a nice wine list so I tried a Grauburgunder (apparently pinot grigio) at the recommendation of one of our traveling companions. I liked it. I could have happily eaten there again just to try other items on the menu but we had other places we wanted to try as well (and we 're glad we did). This place is definitely worth a visit.
We visited this restaurant when visiting the Dresden Weihnachtsmarkts. It is located on a side street in the neustadt area by the Augustus markt. The place was empty when we arrived but full by the time we left, filled by both locals and visitors like us. The pasta was great, tasty and fresh clearly made in store. The portions were a good size and the flavors were excellent. Four stars purely for the cost of the fancier dishes (with seafood) as the €14.60 price was a bit steep for the Dresden area. But a great little place that I would eat at again.
We ate outside in the courtyard seemed to be popular with locals including a large family group. Great pasta and salads and wine. Recommended!
The homemade pasta here is superb. I particularly recommend the spaghetti with olive oil, garlic, and chili — one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten. I visited this restaurant three times during my stay in Dresden and always found the food good. Their menu is available translated into English; sometimes staff who is fluent in English is working, other times you will need to point to the English menu to order if you aren't fluent in German. On one of my visits I returned to the counter and ordered a dessert, which was also excellent. Additionally, they were one of the most vegetarian-friendly restaurants I visited during my entire time in Germany. The patio seating by their lovely herb garden is especially nice when the weather is decent. They are open all afternoon and good for if you are looking for a late lunch or early dinner. Highly recommended.
The pasta bar is located within the complex of one of Germany's foremost contemporary performing arts centre Hellerau, surrounded by beautiful forest and park on the outskirts of Dresden. They serve gluten free pasta; several different pasta dishes available and salads; along with reasonable selection of drinks... reasonably priced too
