What Agnes Behrendt dislikes about Ayers Rock:
It’s a long way to the top .... In for a quick lunch and cocktail. The margarita tasted well but way too small. The appetizer platter was ok but stuffed with some black soil/earth that wasn’t supposed to be in. Waiter was friendly and made...it up with a free ice dessert. For dinner we wil look around the corner. View all feedback.

Stopped by for a couple of beers on the outdoor seating area which had outdoor heaters. I was staying at the Hilton Hotel, so was able to connect to the hotel wifi from the outdoor seating area. Service was great, did not order any food...so cannot comment of the dining options.

We stopped into this “Australian” Bar for afternoon beverages and fries. Service was a bit slow for the (okay) fries but the cold beer and wine came fairly quickly. When we finally received our check we were surprised that they actually charged us euros...for our ketchup! Sorry, would have a hard time recommending this spot! (but the real Ayers Rock in the Australian Outback is incredible

I had dinner here with a drink. The drink was ok, nothing special, for food I had a kangaroo steak and potatoes coming with it. The steak was perfect and the potatoes and sauce were delicious. I enjoyed it and would return.

We visited Ayers Rock twice during our vacation. On our first visit, we had the Uluru Grill Platter. The grilled meats were medium-rare and beautifully tender. The oven-baked vegetables were beautifully cooked yet still slightly firm. The sweet potato mash tasted simply perfect. The sauces can be served in individual bowls upon request; this request should be made when ordering. On our second visit, my wife had the Kangaroo Bowl. The Kangaroo Bolognese was very tasty and well-seasoned. The stir-fried vegetables were fresh and crisp. The fragrant rice was fluffy and not soggy. I had the Gold Coast fish dish. The fish fillets were cooked to perfection and not dry, the shrimp were perfect and not overcooked. The bok choy was beautifully soft, and combined with the coconut sauce, the flavors combined harmoniously. The staff was always friendly, attentive, and courteous every day. The prices are reasonable for what you get. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right. You can make reservations for the inside area, but not for the terrace; here you 'll have to get lucky or wait a bit. We 'd be happy to come back anytime.

First of all, the service was incredibly rude. When we asked if we could sit somewhere, the waiter began mockingly repeating inside or outside because we didn 't answer after the first question, trying to decide among ourselves where we wanted to sit. The same waiter practically threw beer mats and tissues under our drinks on the table. He mistakenly brought us wine, and when I began to explain in English, quite normally and understandably, that we hadn 't ordered wine, he again pretended not to understand me. When we asked for an additional plate, it was thrown on the table in the same way. The sirloin steak was stringy, and the mix of crocodile, ostrich, and beef steaks was underseasoned and bland. The vegetables had a strange, distinctive aftertaste. The only good memory of this restaurant will remain the caramel-flavored cider.
