Charming spot with a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s both relaxing and casual, yet classy in its own way. The food is outstanding and served without pretension. I enjoyed a fluffy, flavorful breakfast sandwich that surpassed all my expectations, along with an exceptional apple Danish that clearly wasn’t store-bought. My wife loved her yogurt parfait and coffee as well. Mildred's was a fantastic choice for a late Saturday morning breakfast.

For my first review on this site, I want to highlight that Mildred's serves the best breakfast sandwich in downtown Kansas City. The staff are incredibly friendly, and I've enjoyed getting to know them during my many visits. If you're stopping by for lunch, I highly recommend the BLT or the cranberry turkey sandwich. This spot has become one of my all-time favorite places to visit weekly for both coffee and food. Just a quick note: they don't serve dinner.

Chic Local Coffee offers excellent local coffee in a clean and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect place to relax for a while. While I’m not particularly fond of their lattes or cappuccinos, it’s a minor issue in an otherwise great experience.

Happy food dance! The look and feel of this place is awesome. I loved the fire pit in the rear patio. The biscuits and gravy are top notch! They go beyond the basics and have a thick full savory flavor. The biscuits themselves are buttery, light, and flaky. The bacon that comes with the dish is also top notch. The eggs are steamed, they have a very consistent texture and are cooked excellently. The turkey cranberry sandwich was also very good. The turkey seemed to be fresh sliced and the bread hit the spot. I had a great experience here; I think you will too!
