Really good Mexican restaurant in the Downingtown area. The good thing is that they are vegetarian friendly. Food tasted good but I didn't feel it was something special. The rice wasn't cooked fresh and their salsa tasted good but it was cold and stored in the fridge. Overall a good experience but doesn't feel special and so wouldn't come again. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about El Limon:
Decided to give this place a shot. Order dinner for two and after having lots Mexicans in almost every restaurant in the area, this place have to be on the bottom. Gave us expired flat cokes, flavourless tacos with little or no seasoning, no sauce, and when we paid extra for queso dip, that gave us cup full of shredded mozzarella cheese.. you can't make this stuff up. The enchiladas are really good. My brother always gets burritos. Churros are awesome. The service is always super speedy friendly. Way better than Chipotle or any other chain of restaurants any day. They also have a decent amount of parking right out front. One of my favorite places for lunch!!
This is definately a new favorite... their meats were amazing!!!! Loved it!!
This was my first visit, but it will not be my last. The guacamole was very flavorful with the right combination of lime, and spices. I ordered a chicken burrito with mole. The mole was the best I have eaten in Pennsylvania. It was the right mix of chocolate and spices. I will definitely be back.
They advertised complimentary margheritas. I told the girl we wanted that along with our regular order. We had tacos, tortillas, and something else along with overpriced drinks. We never got the complimentary margheritas even though I reminded them several times. They also couldn't make change. The food was good, but the advertisement for complimentary margheritas is a lie.
We regularly get delivery from El Limon. Their burritos and enchiladas are great. They are also pretty inexpensive usually $10-12 and the portions are large. I would highly recommend you give them a shot.
