Was Alison at Doc's Fish/Chips Cafe, Downpatrick a mag?
Was at downshire hospital, waiting on mum getting surgery. Went to docs for fish supper, it was mighty so nice and no grease. Gave the staff thumbs up before leaving as we ate in car.. So thought I would just give them a wee shout out in trip advisor too. View all feedback.
What Kate dislikes about Doc's Fish/Chips Cafe, Downpatrick:
Chips tasted like they had been heated up, chicken burger rubbery and scampi overcooked. Everything had been either heated up or over cooked. Docs used to be good. Won't be back for a long time View all feedback.

I will not return to this restaurant because the chips and Southern fried chicken fillet burger were cold, and the bap was not toasted.
This restaurant was truly delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be returning as a fan.
The food at this restaurant was terrible. The fresh cod was barely edible, while the chicken goujons were so overcooked that the batter just cracked off and the kids couldn't even chew them. We were not offered any salt or vinegar. The staff were unfriendly. I would recommend avoiding this place as it was a total waste of money and we ended up throwing the food away.
Docs restaurant in Downpatrick has received mixed reviews. Some customers have complained about overcooked food, high prices, and incorrect orders. However, others have praised the restaurant's focus on fish and chips, fresh fish, and gluten-free options. Despite some negative feedback, loyal customers appreciate Docs for its quality and taste, even after moving to different countries. As prices increase, customers expect better quality to match. The restaurant's reputation has been affected by complaints of greasy battered fish, frozen baps, and rubbery chips. Though some reviewers vow to never return, others remain loyal to the establishment.

Meal Type: Takeout Lunch Price per Person: £1–10 Food Rating: 5/5 Service Rating: 5/5 Atmosphere Rating: 5/5 I recently had a takeout lunch from this place, and I must say it was fantastic! The food was exceptional, easily earning a perfect score of 5 out of 5. Each dish was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was equally impressive; the staff was friendly and efficient, making the ordering process a breeze. I also enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the restaurant, even though I was dining in at home; you could tell they create a welcoming environment. With prices so reasonable, ranging from £1 to £10 per person, I highly recommend trying this spot for your next lunch!
Find Docs is always good in Newcastle, Ardglass and now here. The single cod was golden and crispy with a few chips. Whilst not the biggest I ever got it was adequate and tasty. Around £6.00 is fair price and place very clean. Service: Take out Meal type: Other
Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips
I regret to say that prices have gone up significantly: a chicken kebab is now £9, and chips cost £5. This is an increase from £2.50 and is simply unacceptable. I urge people to steer clear of this place; they are taking advantage of their customers. It's not worth the price hike, and it would be better for them to shut down than to continue such practices. Rating: Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.
