Irish music on Sunday afternoons in the wee snug. Most people dont seem to know about it. Pity. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
After cycling all day I needed to find somewhere to eat. Few places were open but then I found this: superb. Really lovely local craft beer which made a refreshing change, and superb food. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Cool old building near the cathedral, food was okish (fish batter was on the oily side, the chowder a bit too creamy). Super nice and accommodating staff, and theywere happy to modify options to be gluten free. Would be a solid 4 but the prices are a bit steep for the food quality. Pub grub, nothing fancy, but good.
Had 1 night here, room 3. Really couldn’t fault anything. Lovely staff, clean comfortable room, great food very Covid compliant.Special mention for the breaded Brie starter the full breakfast which were both awesome. Plus you make a great coffee, which is an essential in my book!Would definitely return.Thank-you All.

I went there with my friend for a nice, quiet night out and the older, male member of staff who was serving us our drinks was rude to me and my friend the entire time. my friend asked about the cocktail options and this staff member responded with “you’re really doing my head in tonight”. he seemed to be in a bad mood and decided to take it out on me and my friend… not what i would consider to be good customer service at all.

Staying in the County Down area for two days and booked at this hotel at very short notice for Sunday lunch (17th September) as a group of six with children. What a find this place was. We tucked into a superb Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Couple of our party commented one of the best Sunday lunches ever. Huge portions sizes and everything cooked with love and attention to detail. Most had starters which were excellent. Home made soup and prawn cocktails. Staff were superb and very attentive. If you are in the Downpatrick area book here as we were would definitely recommend this place. Top class. Thank you.
Stopped into Denvir’s of Downpatrick for a late lunch after visiting the grave of St Patrick at the cathedral just up the street. The burger was great but the seafood chowder was exceptional, especially with a cold pint of Guinness. The young bartender gave us a short tour of the historical structure that dates back to 1642! This is a great pub, hope to be back soon.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner. Staff did their best to make sure we had a great evening. After dinner we found out that a local band performed in the beer garden which we also enjoyed.

Rooms were nice and clean!!
Called into the bar last night for a couple of drinks and found a traditional music session taking place. What a fantastic night, great atmosphere, talented musicians and good beer. Could see this being perfect in the beer garden on a summer evening.
