Lunch on a weekday: great chawder butter bread (large) for £12 and good local beer. Very clean and quiet, easily accessible (we were parked in the small museum parking lot a little further up the street). Very warm and efficient service. No beer garden, because it was raining, but the space looked very nice!
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR A LOVELY EVENING AS ALWAYS.EVERYTHING WAS JUST LOVELY FROM THE FOOD STAFF.MOST IMPORTANTLY THE CHEFS WHO WILL NEVER SAY NO IF YOU WHAT SOMETHING YOUR WAY I AM BLIND AND SO LOVELY TO FEEL SAFE.
A lovely evening in Denvirs for dinner and drinks. Beautifully served food by Ursula and Mary in the restaurant with a friendly service and excellent product knowledge for wine and steak and salmon...both were great, melt in your mouth with delicious green side vegetables and crispy potatoes. William, from bar staff, served the wine and most wonderful Irish coffees with great, but short, conversation and humour. William is a highlight of Denvirs...be sure to ask for him at the bar, he has the strongest, surest and gentlest handshake of Welcome. A lovely time in Denver's had by all. Will see Ursula, Mary, and especially, William again
A mixed bag of reviews was left for the restaurant, with the service receiving positive feedback despite slow food delivery. The food quality was generally good, with highlights including a delicious chicken stack and fresh, tasty options. The charming atmosphere, historical building, and friendly staff were mentioned favorably. Some mentioned the slow service during a family function and the long wait times between courses. Despite some flaws, the restaurant appears to have potential, especially for those looking for a cozy, historical ambiance and quality food at reasonable prices.

Had a great lunch today reasonably priced. Only negative thing one of the staff chewing gum the whole time he was talking and serving! What has happened to the service industry?? Vegetarian options: They were acceptable Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £50–60
The staff at this restaurant are friendly and efficient. The food is top-notch, and the historic building adds to the great atmosphere, maintaining its character. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere all get a perfect score of 5. It's a great spot for lunch, with prices ranging from £10 to £20 per person.
Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Staying in the County Down area for two days and booked at this hotel at very short notice for Sunday lunch (17th September) as a group of six with children. What a find this place was. We tucked into a superb Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Couple of our party commented one of the best Sunday lunches ever. Huge portions sizes and everything cooked with love and attention to detail. Most had starters which were excellent. Home made soup and prawn cocktails. Staff were superb and very attentive. If you are in the Downpatrick area book here as we were would definitely recommend this place. Top class. Thank you.
Stopped into Denvir’s of Downpatrick for a late lunch after visiting the grave of St Patrick at the cathedral just up the street. The burger was great but the seafood chowder was exceptional, especially with a cold pint of Guinness. The young bartender gave us a short tour of the historical structure that dates back to 1642! This is a great pub, hope to be back soon.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner. Staff did their best to make sure we had a great evening. After dinner we found out that a local band performed in the beer garden which we also enjoyed.
Stayed overnight for a family party… soup was lovely but main course wasn’t nice… breakfast on the other hand was lovely… 1 young lad with longish light brown hair saved this trip for us with a few issues arising when we arrived due to my disabilities and difficulty with stairs as there are no lifts but that young lad was so helpful with everything and got us sorted… other young lad wasn’t much use apart from being rude and disrespectful about times when the conversation had nothing to do with him!! Rooms were nice and clean!!
