In my opinion, this is the best KFC in Northern Ireland. The food is consistently well cooked, the staff are extremely friendly, and the restaurant is always clean. Even during busy times like peak hours, bank holidays, and summer holidays, they maintain high standards year-round.

I visited Mauds in Newcastle for a quick lunch. Upon entering, I was instructed to pick up a menu and choose my own table. There is a construction site outside the café, providing a view of the sea. We decided to order the club panini served with chips to share. We placed our order at the counter and shortly after, our panini arrived. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the presentation. The panini looked sad and made with ciabatta bread. Inside, there was a small piece of chicken and streaky bacon, some wilted lettuce, and tomato. The plate also had a few chips and a side salad with balsamic dressing. Despite being very dry, it was somewhat edible with added sauce. My husband had a lemon meringue pie, which he found to be tasty but the slice was small for the price. The staff at Mauds were friendly and attentive, but overall, we were disappointed with our meal. We will be exploring other dining options next time we visit Newcastle.

Arrived mid afternoon . Was quite busy but didn't have to wait long to be shown to a table. Ordered at the till only to be told they had run out of vanilla ice-cream. I should have left at this stage. Ordered 3 ice creams. After about 20 minutes I asked a waitress whatvwas taking them so long. She disappeared and came back saying that they were being made right now. 10 minutes later still no icecreams so asked again. Was assured that they were being made. 10 minutes later I was about to leave and ask for a refund when they arrived. Ice-cream was tasty but they got the order completely wrong. Service was terrible Toilets were disgusting. Floor qwt and sticky with no toilet roll and only one toilet for whole cafe. I will not be back!!!

The restaurant is just as good as any KFC. The staff were efficient and the food was exactly what you would expect.
