Applebee's Grill - Dover
Applebee's Grill
Description
In the bustling culinary scene, this restaurant garners mixed reactions from diners. While the ambiance is praised for cleanliness and a thoughtful layout, the food offers a varied experience. Standout dishes include the Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp, described as a revelation, and the well-portioned Southwest Chicken Bowl, offering tremendous value. However, some offerings fall flat, such as dry ribs and overcooked steak. Desserts like the pecan blonde leave much to be desired. Overall, the restaurant presents average American cuisine with potential for improvement, particularly in vegetarian options, yet still delivers memorable meals for certain dishes.

The bourbon street chicken and shrimp dish was truly amazing. If you gave me the takeout container without revealing the restaurant, I would have thought I was dining at a top-notch luxury restaurant. The quality of the meal was exceptional and left me impressed. The chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection, and every other aspect of the dish was equally delicious. I would rate it 20/10. You need to try this dish for yourself—it's an experience you won't forget.
The 8 ounce sirloin steak was cold and overcooked, making it tough to cut. My husband was disappointed with it. As for my Southwest Chicken Bowl, it was good but not exceptional.
The Southwest Chicken Bowl is one of the best food items ever wow and the price isnt super jacked up like other stuff on door dash. Great value. So much food and extra chicken doesnt cost too much extra. Im a big boy and its honestly hard to finish it all with the extra chicken which is crazy. Such a well balanced healthy meal too just sensational. The classic combo is an absolute rip off though im sorry.
The meal was cold and unappetizing. It was undercooked and excessively salty. I deeply regret trying this dish and recommend avoiding it at all costs.
