Reviews summary
Nestled within a discount shopping center, this café offers a mixed bag of experiences. While renovations might obscure its potential, patrons can enjoy lovely views of Dover Harbour and a pleasing atmosphere. The staff is generally friendly, and the children’s play area is a notable perk. However, food quality varies, with some dishes described as lackluster or poorly executed. Nonetheless, many appreciate the reasonable prices and fast service for light bites and coffee. Overall, it stands out as a cozy spot for casual dining, but improvements are anticipated once renovations are completed.

I love coming to this restaurant with a view of the mosque. I always find great deals here. It's a bit sad that many of the shops have closed, but it's still worth a visit. Plus, the cafe serves delicious chai tea at a very affordable price. View all feedback.
What 927andrewm dislikes about Waves:
I visited the restaurant while it was undergoing renovations, so my experience may not be indicative of their usual service. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant visit. Upon entering, I found three staff members crowded behind a temporary counter. I requested a hot chocolate to share with my youngest child, as well as a tea cake. The hot chocolate I received was lackluster, clearly made from powder and hot water, and... View all feedback.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for enjoying a coffee and a snack. The lovely kids play area is a great added feature. The new management has made many positive changes.
Ideally located in the shopping area, good for a quick drink and an opportunity to re-charge the shopping batteries !!!
We visited this restaurant for brunch and had a great experience. The prices were reasonable and the food was tasty. I would highly recommend trying the tomato and mozzarella toastie.
A friend and I had a coffee here and found the atmosphere lovely and welcoming. The service was good too. It was nice to have a catch up and a natter in peace and quiet.
The discount shopping centre has quite a large café deep inside and facing the wharf. Not really a restaurant, as the staples are cakes, sandwiches, beverages and hot sausage rolls, which were clearly made on demand. There is a servery and a seating area nearby with a ballooning feature overhead. The longer adjacent café ends in an enclosed children's play area. Not very busy on a Tuesday morning, but probably benefits from De Bradelei promotions ,Otherwise maybe uneaten cakes have a second chance as some have reported.
