A very good address. a pleasant setting and refined cuisine. a real pleasure for eyes and taste buds ...
Excellent surprise for this unattractive restaurant from the outside. refined and fresh dishes, a very good service. Nothing to say. even the value/price ratio is good. We recommend without hesitation!
We've loved it for a long time. A new meal at the height of a starry where the Rossini beef has been rediscovered! The menu also succulent (cru, turbo, cherry with ganache chocolate and sorbet red wine...hum).To always improve the service leaves room for young people (and it is very good!) but is not in keeping with the quality of the dishes. with in particular forgetting attention for the anniversary that had been requested (no serious that being;)
The lunch menu is a gift....It is accessible and allows us to enjoy this superb establishment. The quality of the welcome does not fab. Smiles and attentions are always at the rendezvous. This time we ate on the terrace under a sunlight. top!the plates are superbly presented, and the associations of flavors worked. everything is fresh and the cooking (including fish) perfect. Anyway, without hesitation.

We‘ve been here for lunch and had a perfekt menue, served from very friendly personel. Food and Drinks are very reasonable priced. The restaurant as well as the location in the backyard is cozy and comfortable.
Called restaurant at 13:55 to see if we could still have lunch, positive reply. This in itself was surprising as was the quality of the meal. Excellent food perfectly prepared service with a smile. Veal super tender, excellent vegetables well seasoned. Fish prepared with fava beans just perfect. Desserts prepared à la minute served warm; pineapple crumble with ice cream and chocolate dish both worthy ways to finish a fine repast. And this for 22€ a no brainer indeed. I don’t overate places.
We had a very enjoyable evening at L'Insolite. Staff was friendy, the restaurant was classy, and the food was excellent! Don't forget to order the cheese, they have a tonneau de fromage (a barrel mounted on a trolley on which they wheel around the cheeses).
The name of this restaurant is well chosen. In a town with a dirth of good restaurants but reasonably good crêperies L 'insolite literally: The Unusual , stand out by the quality of its food and service. Run by two former chefs of The Martinez in Cannes, the food is creative and beautifully served. Who would have thought of combining rhubarb compote with a filet of whiting ? It works, though, as do the other inventions and creations. A three course menu du marché daily specials costs just €20. Add a glass of good wine and a coffee and the final bill hardly exceeds €25 per person. Great value for money for an uplifting gastronomic experience. You can of course choose a meal à la carte which would be more expensive but without doubt of excellent quality too. Attentive and cheerful service all round. My only gripe is that, even during the peak tourist season, the restaurant is closed for two days a week Sunday and Monday . But inflexible and expensive French labour legislation is probaly more to blame for this than the restaurant itself. Reservation always advisable and essential during July and August.
The two chefs in the kitchen prepare marvellous meals ! Fish meals are fresh and really tastefull. The cote d 'agneau was the best I ever tasted, deliciously served with mediteranian herbs. You can park your car very near on the square and don 't hesitate to step in ! The restaurant is the best in Douarnenez !

Not cool to load on the note a wine (Chinon 2011) that should never have been on the map of such an establishment with flavor menus at 53 €, but excellent. A guard wine informs the caviste. In reality, the Chinon no longer expresses aroma. Its peak is over 4-5 years. On the bottle, the producer specifies the wine of custody between 3 and 7 years. We were offered to take another wine, but by regulating in addition the new bottle!!!

Welcome to the arrival a good heat you wrap before enjoying the menu of the day more than excellent served by a hotel master and a charming waitress. a table to discover during your visit to douarnenez. the map is very attractive with more than tempting dishes. Go without regret!
A restaurant where the chef actually greets what is not done in many restaurants where we went to France. Combinations of very interesting dishes and very good service. We enjoyed having been accepted for dinner at a late hour, even if we had not booked. (Notification d
