I decided to visit this restaurant after seeing an advertisement featuring the President's sons in the Clare Champion and craving for scampi. The restaurant has a unique name that caught my attention. Despite taking a few wrong turns on my way from Kilrush, the journey was worth it. The staff was exceptionally friendly, especially the young woman behind the bar who provided excellent service. I felt right at home as soon as I arrived. The scampi I ordered was delicious, served quickly, and presented beautifully. The pint I enjoyed was also fantastic, perfectly creamy. The cozy atmosphere of the pub and restaurant made for a pleasant dining experience, with immaculate surroundings and a view of the river adding to the charm. I left feeling satisfied and grateful for the warm welcome I received. Despite the long journey home, I would happily return for another delightful experience at this establishment.
Fabulous food that is high quality and well priced. One of the best meals I've had in Clare.
Nice atmosphere, good choice. are ok, but nothing outstanding. service is unfortunately partially inattentive (so was only after 30 min. empty bells on the table asked for another thorn). gastronomic view, the view frs detail unfortunately was missing completely. (no recommendation was made, no accompanying weine was offered for ordering, the brot forgotten, the table is planned again after a short time, if you should not put a value on petty, this is recommended locally, as the foods were good and also abundant. However, we felt the prices somewhat too high compared to the offered performance.
I ordered fish and chips at this restaurant and found the fish and sauce to be really good. However, I was not informed that there was a special when I ordered.
This charming village restaurant delivers fresh and tasty food, despite some portion size issues. The Michelin Bib holder may have fallen slightly short of expectations, with service being rushed at times. However, the staff remained pleasant and courteous. Despite a few hiccups, the seafood dishes were described as "sensational." The warm and welcoming ambiance, along with friendly service, make it a recommended spot for all occasions. Some diners found the waitresses to be overly attentive, while others praised the delicious food and generous portions. Overall, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience worth a visit.

After two weeks in Ireland, we finally found the best seafood chowder. Lovely restaurant, friendly service. Hit the spot and more. Thank you. And folks, when dining out please refrain from perfumes as it can irritate other diners.
Everything went great, the food was delicious, the service was great and the location was great
They need to change their dessert supplier. Main course was very nice. No longer a fish restaurant.
We are staying nearby at the Trump Doonbeg resort. We wanted to see the cute town of Doonbeg. We made reservations and I’m surprised this place does not have a Michelin star. I know they are rated as a Michelin Bibb restaurant. The starters were incredible the crab legs, wings, crab tostada. The various cocktails we ordered were a great bonus. And the four different mains we tried were all fantastic. The soup to the burger to the catch of the day and the fish and chips. They were all fantastic.

We dined at Morrissey's on our final evening in Ireland. It was the highlight meal of our trip. The seafood was exceptional and the service was excellent.
I absolutely adored this pub/restaurant. We were staying nearby and brought our dog along with us, which was not an issue at all - it was fantastic. The atmosphere was delightful and the food was exceptional. I recommend making a reservation during peak season.
We had a great meal and our well behaved dog was welcomed in the bar. The staff were friendly and accommodating and made our visit a pleasure.
Very disappointing food service, waited waited to be seated even with a reservation, staff were all over the place, barman lady who was maybe manager were trying very hard to cover for the rest. Food poor Thai had no vegetables except for peas green beans, sauce was bland. Chunky chips were cooked in old oil result look overcooked but not fully cooked through. Sorry guys but a lot to learn.

The food and service were excellent as always, and it's conveniently located right near us. I highly recommend it. Great job to all the wonderful staff! x
Starting with the sinfully delicious crab claws in garlic butter and a melt-in-your-mouth goat cheese and hazelnut salad, our taste buds were truly awakened. We had high hopes for our main courses, and they did not disappoint. From the salmon dish to the classic fish and chips, everything was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. The meal was perfectly complemented by an excellent house Chardonnay—exactly the kind of wine every good restaurateur should offer. Great choice by the owner! With friendly and attentive staff in a warm, relaxing atmosphere, this gourmet hotspot in Doonbeg is absolutely worth a visit.
