Felt like burgers tonight and had some coupons for A&W so we thought we give them another chance. Went through the Drive-thru at 6pm. Only 3 cars ahead of us but took over 25 mins to get our order. 3 burgers, 3 rings and 3...root beers. Thank God we had the coupons or that would have cost us $37!! REALLY!? In February or March of 2017 they deleted the hotdog (from the chain wide menu). What's up with that? I find their hamburger too salty. The only reason i eat there now is for an order of onion rings.
I stopped by A&W for lunch after shopping at the Centennial Mall. I've been going here for a couple of years. Today I ordered the Mama Burger with cheese, a side of onion rings and a root beer. The Mama Burger was fresh and hot. Actually, quite tasty. The onion rings were large and hot. The onion rings were just okay because I found them a bit too greasy. The root beer was ice cold and delicious.The service was great. I was served quickly.This A&W is open 24 hours a day and they also have a drive through. They also start serving breakfast at 5am.
The food is awesome, however the last 3 times i have gone in hopes of enjoying an uncle burger.......they had none.....so i can understand once.....maybe twice but 3 consecutive times in a 2 mth period?
Decided to hit the A&W for their advertised Teen Burger special around 7:30 pm - the place was empty. That didn't stop the staff from providing the poorest slowest service imaginable. The counter staff clearly didn't want to be there. Took 5 mins just to have the 2 of us order and another 15 mins to get our dinner (teen burger trios) Next challenge was to find a clean table to sit at. To make matters worse my frosty root beer was served in a chipped mug, when I drew attention to it I'm sure it was put back into service.Will not be visiting this dive again!Sad truth is, this experience it pretty much standard for a Montreal version of a fast food American chain.
This is pretty much a standard A&W. The burgers are good and the root beer great as always. Location of course is convenient on des Sources Blvd just north of Autoroute 40.What sets this location apart from some others we have visited is the great attitude of the friendly staff. Certainly this must reflect the management.I always enjoy my visits there with the smiling and cheerful staff.
