Dutch review: Restaurant Zum KafferKlatch is a true culinary drama in three acts. The tomato soup, which was served to us with much fanfare, turned out to be a watery, tasteless shadow of what must once have been a fruitful tomato harvest. It was almost a work of art, if not for the fact that I would have preferred to see this kind of art in the Guggenheim, not in my soup bowl. The salad was then served with the necessary 'extras ' grains of sand, as if they wanted to give me the gift of a holiday at the North Sea. When you make the polite attempt to indicate that you prefer water in a glass rather than in your tomato soup, you are greeted with a fierce and unfriendly response, as if you have personally insulted the restaurant. Service with a smile? Rather service with a grimace. However, the cocoa is drinkable and, admittedly, the onion soup was tasty. But for a lunch menu that feels like it should be a star meal in terms of price, one expects something more than sand and irritation. In short, the only thing that is high here are the prices. German review: Restaurant Zum KafferKlatch is a culinary disaster in three deeds. The Tomato Suppe, which was served with a larger gesture, presented itself as a tasty, geschmacklose caricature of the herald, was indeed a rich tomato sauce that could be obtained. Fast art, aber die Art von Kunst, die I lieber in Guggenheim as in my Suppenteller gesehen hätte. If you would like to have a Salad with a Bonus – Sandkörner, you will also have a Stück Urlaub on the Nordsee with plenty of service. Wenn man than man is happy, the man is happy with the glass in the table, he is a man with a glass of wine, unfreundlichen Antwort konfrontiert, als hätte man das Restaurant personal policy. Service with a smile? Eher Service with one piece of equipment. The heiße Schokolade is always drinkable and the Zwiebelsuppe is tasty. Besides the menu, it is a pleasure to have a Michelin star experience, but it is more like sand and a beautiful window. Zusammengefasst: Das Einzige, was hier hoben ist, since die Preise.

This is one of our go to spots on the Mosel. The menu is a little more unique than others in the surrounding. The food is really good quality. We've had just about everything on the menu and it's all great. My favorite is the salad with shrimp wrapped in crispy potatoes. The boys love the burgers, desserts and the way they serve the ice tea, with ice! We also really enjoy the wine they serve. The staff is always, always super friendly. Refreshing for the area. The views from outside are fantastic and it's on the sunny side of the Mosel! Ya don't need a reservation, but I'd get one if it's high season on the weekend. Ediger can get pretty busy on the weekend, but there is a lot of FREE parking in the area. It might be ok for wheel chairs if you sit out front at one of the few tables there.
