I froze my toes off at... read more We were the other couple there last night, seated next to Michelle K who also posted a review. I can't disagree with much that she said. I froze my toes off at dinner! We thought about just getting take out but felt like being out of the house for a bit so we drove over to check it out update I've demoted Mongkon to a 2 star restaurant. We have tried getting takeout from here on numerous occasions since we dined in there a few years ago. Eat time the food was worse. Oily pad Thai, over cooked noodles, general taste that didn't seem fresh. I really don't like giving bad reviews but I didn't want to mislead neighbors into thinking this place was good.

The restaurant must of had their AC go out because there was fans running and it was hot. I got drunken noodles and red curry. The food had no flavor and lots of red dye. I hate that I can't give these locals a good rating but the food was extremely bland and there was no Thai flair.

Unfriendly waitress grabbed menu from my hands so hard she sent a fork flying, and she wasn't mad about anything. Got appetizers after 30 minutes. Dumplings were cold. Thai spring rolls were all lettuce, $6.95. Over an hour for entrees, the other two parties are still waiting. The third party gave up and left. Rice is mealy and overcooked, the curry I could have made better at home in half the time. No spices, broc and green beans are frozen. My boyfriend's dish has a few, a very few, frozen green beans and carrots, hardly any chicken, and both are loaded with salt. He left 90% on his plate and he was (is) hungry. Thai Orchid in Berwyn is way better! We are now leaving with most of the food still on the plate and getting a pizza.
