Description

Nestled in a scenic location, this restaurant has garnered mixed reviews, primarily for its hit-or-miss dining experiences. While the atmosphere exudes warmth with its rustic decor, the food quality fluctuates. Patrons rave about standout dishes like Filet Mignon and Pan Fried Walleye, yet some have expressed disappointment with certain entrees being bland or inadequately prepared. Service quality also varies, with some servers receiving praise for attentiveness, while others fall short. Despite inconsistencies, the restaurant's vibrant ambiance and extensive menu may still appeal to those seeking a unique dining experience, especially on special occasions.

We showed up with a party of 6 and was told it would be 20 minutes and we could wait down stairs in the bar. We had 5 adults and a minor. We went down stairs and ordered a drink and the minor had a root beer. After we ordered and were sitting and patiently waiting, a waitress told us that my nephew couldn't be in the bar even though he was having root beer. She said he could wait on the stairs. About 5 minutes later the owner told him he couldn't be there. Didn't talk to his parent but to my nephew directly. It's was a very low class move. We've been going to the ranch since 1996. We won't be back.

This place has been going since 40s, Joel Elvrum (owner) is keeping the tradition going and has in my opinion even stepped it up a notch!! He now has a nice selection of wines to enhance your dining experience along with a nice selection of tap beers and infused vodkas in their entry level . You can dine on two different levels and room enough to bring large parties to join you He and his most friendly staff will accommodate you however you please. Goose Hunters, Fishmen, and friends and family will enjoy this renowned establishment. Keep up the Great Tradition. My kudos to all . Having been in the restaurant business for over 45 years I found this to excel! 5 Parking: Has plenty of room and needs it as the Ranch keeps packing them in!

Poor experience and food prep quality Augratin potatoes had absolutely no taste. Ordered a blackened steak I guess the chef thought blackened seasoning meant burn it on both sides NO SEASONING and mushrooms with it were both cold. Others in our group said they were never coming back and neither will i Wheelchair accessibility: Could not make it upstairs to dining room with 2 handicapped persons in our group so had to sit in bar area Extremely noisy
