Barda - Detroit

The food was great but not superior. For the price I felt it’s not worth it. Comparing 68 dollar steak with other restaurant serving 68 dollar dish, I felt cost performance wasn’t good.Atmosphere was for adult more and definitely not for kids although my kids enjoyed the food and the restaurant. Service was fair, not awesome not bad. No bread or anything which I felt was little not enough for again what we are paying for.If I were to be asked “will you come back?” Probably No due to cost performance.We had such an awesome Argentine food atGaucho Parrilla Argentina at Pittsburg last year so I was looking forward to it but comparing with them….food, service, price…none of them were as good as them.

Sat at the bar for dinner. The atmosphere is fantastic and I love the large bar and low seating. Very unique. Cocktails were ok- I had the Eloise and thought they went a little too hard on the blueberry. For dinner we had the potatoes, parsnips, polenta, and steak. It was enough food for two. The turnips were excellent but the rest of the food was underwhelming in comparison- polenta was bland. The food was timed well although the steak was cold and our drink service was very slow. If you haven’t been I would recommend giving Barda a try. I will probably not return.

Food was excellent. Love that the bar is set down, so the bartenders are at eye level when you are sitting in the chairs at the bar. Very cool idea. Charred Caesar was delicious. My favorite plate was the roasted parsnips. They were out of this world delicious. Just ordered and shared apps for dinner, will return to try some entrees. Ordered wine had a Spanish white Pardavalles and a mocktail that was very creative. Absolutely recommend. Parking lot is small, but there was plenty of free on street parking.

Sooooo this place is so good. So unique. It was so fun watching the team crush it on Valentines Day. The food is crazy good. I had my first duck and I think every duck I have from this point will be a disappointment (unless it’s at barda . Wine delicious. The lil colorful sharp knives : every detail was perfect. Idk man this was just the best meal I’ve had in awhile. Don’t walk, run. I will be back for that duck.Also dessert is so important to me and the burnt Alaska was amazing, sweet, and fun.

Loved BARDA. Great food, ambiance, bar and wait staff.
