Madi's - Des Moines
Madi's
Description
Madi's Steakhouse offers a mixed dining experience that has yet to fully impress its patrons. While the service ranges from attentive to inadequate, issues like poorly timed food courses and a lack of wine knowledge from staff dampen the atmosphere. The menu features basic breakfast staples, but the execution falls flat, often lacking the creativity desired in a dining experience. On a positive note, some guests enjoyed the cocktails and the diverse happy hour menu, indicating that there is potential for improvement. Overall, Madi's appears to be a work in progress, with high hopes for its future growth.

Food was very good and the server was excellent! This is our second time at Madi’s and we plan to come again soon. Thank you for a great night out!
My friend and I dined early on a Tuesday night, so it was fairly quiet. The service was attentive and the food overall was very good. The only complaint was that my friend ordered a medium rare steak and got a steak with no pink in it.
Madi's is a must!! We had friends out for dinner and decided to try Madi's. What a treat. Madi's makes the best martinis, hands down. The stroganoff was amazing, the seabass topped with a refreshing mango salsa was cooked to perfection, and the tenderloin steaks exquisite. The wedge salads were crisp and the portions plentiful. The seafood soup was flavorful and full of seafood. The meal was topped off with slices of incredible pecan pie. The price is very reasonable. The service impeccable. Everyone was making plans to return.
Maddys was a great place to meet with coworkers for happy hour. There was a diverse menu and fast and friendly service. I would definitely go back again so that I could try other items on the menu.
If you're a meat and potatoes kind of person and want to hang out with other people who pay top dollar for sort of bland food, then this may be the place for you. We were sad to see Scotch and Vine close and they left high expectations for anyone tofollow. We were thrilled to see another restaurant open and enthusiastically took our out of town family to try it out.Unfortunately, with Madi's, the prices went up and the food quality went down, leaving much to be desired. We only visited once, and it was about a month after they opened, so perhaps they've improved.... maybe things have or will radically change for thebetter and I'll get to revise this crappy review. Until then, if you want a ribeye, 909 is way better.
