Quad Cafe - Derby
Quad Cafe
Description
Acropolis Café offers hearty, home-cooked meals at astonishingly low prices, with friendly service that adds charm to the dining experience. Though the decor shows signs of wear and could use a refresh, patrons rave about the generous portions and good quality of the food, especially the pensioners' breakfast and homemade quiches, all under £5. While some dishes, like certain sausages and fried bread, may disappoint, the extensive menu caters to various dietary preferences, including vegan options. For a satisfying and affordable meal in Derby, Acropolis remains a delightful yet unpretentious choice.

Okay, the decor is out of date and in need of a refurb, you will end up smelling of fried food BUT you really cannot complain at £1.50 for a breakfast cob if ordered before 11.30 that includes 2 fillings and the cob is really big! Staff are friendly and will bring your order to your table. Would recommend for cheap meal
Called in for breakfast at the Acropilis cafe during our stay in Derby, place is clean but badly in need of an update as it looks very hungry 80's, breakfast was ok apart from the poor quality sausages that let it down. Didn't return during our stay as there are much better breakfasts available in the city centre that only cost a little bit more but are far better quality. On the plus side the staff were very friendly.
Located in the Cathedral Quarter, this Derby cafe in the market place offers home-cooked food made to order with generous portions. The menu is extensive, catering to a variety of tastes. The option for senior citizens to enjoy a smaller portion of the main meals, along with bread and butter, pudding, and a cup of tea for just £4.99 is truly amazing. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Despite the slightly tired furnishings, the place is clean. For a substantial meal at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. Support individuality and independent retailers over chain restaurants.
This very friendly basic café serves traditional food with a smile. The portions are generous, the quality is good (no greasy chips here! and the value for money exceptional. I had the pensioners breakfast of sausage, 2 bacon, egg, beans, mushrooms (real, not canned! toast and coffee for £4.99 and it came with a pudding of sponge and custard! We went back for lunch and had a very nice home-made quiche, fresh salad and chips plus pudding plus coffee, again for £4.99. We will definitely go back.
